Chapter 156: It’s the thought that counts

On a specially chosen outcropping of jagged sea windblown cliff that is almost impossible to reach is a piece of land standing apart from the western ridge overlooking bustling Rising Reef Town. Mordrid a budding Death Knight stands there, usually, when people see him they give way even for a Taruk he is uglier than most. His skin is mambo green with hints of bulimic white blotches. He is very thin but every inch of his body is covered in muscles this is a trait amongst all Taruks. His lower incisors grow from the middle of his jaw out the bottom of his chin. Mordrid files down the top half only cowards and babies keep the killing teeth. His four eyes of orange gaze at the piece of land that is just out of reach. He Has spent every waking moment since the Sunken Reef Guild took over the Western side of the island trying to secure this place. I’m not ungrateful it’s just that today is the anniversary and I thought something special to mark the day.” A strange glint enters Mordrid eyes but it soon passes. Pennie From Heaven wants to put her hand on his shoulder to show him some support. 

Pennie From Heaven says, ” Could you not have made a shorter character seriously, just because your a giant back home doesn’t mean you should be one here too…” She even tries to stand on tippy toes. Mordrid turns around and hisses at her oglers, nose bleeding sycophants and leechers moguls. These players are too stupid and never try to get the know the brilliant kind and daisy sweet person behind the beauty and they think that just because they have higher levels or money or even a small cock, they should be the ones in her company…” Stop it leave them alone! They know not to overstep plus they keep the real creeps away. Some guy even tried to buy me. Can you believe that?” Mordrid can only shake his head things like this don’t happen to guys even the most feminine men don’t even receive half as many threats and unwanted invites as she does…”Did you bring it?” 

Mordrid as carefully as his callus ridden hands will allow passes her a very unique item, Pennie From Heaven says, “Are you sure? You know you can sell this for over a million in cold hard cash. Hell, if Dryad knew what you were giving they would sell their stems to you if you know what I am.” She winks wickedly at him.  She is holding a piece of the Sacred Grove of Umbia. Her body responds instinctively after waiting for the head nod from Mordrid. Delicate bark coloured red white and pink blooms her chest opens up to her inner Grove bare for all to see. Placing the Sacred Grove there transforms her nature it is not just more powerful it is more everything. It’s not a physical transformation but she is clearly changed inwardly a Grove has become a Sea of Trees. Mordrid knows not to pry into the Grove of a Dryad that would be as stupid as asking a Halfing to not rip you off.

Mordrid says, “It would pretty pointless to go through all we went through to stumble now. I love her and I think she needs whenever we talk about it…” He coughs before continuing…”This is the only thing I can think of to help her it’s been a tough two years for her.” Mordrid says that’s with an anvil in his throat. 

Pennie From Heaven says, ” Stands back Conforming Wood is tricky.” She used a shortcut to make this happen. Normally a Dryad would have to be at least a level fifty and have the pure wood affinity which she doesn’t have. What she did was to go to her home Grove and request training in the lifestyle path of Construction. Which was absolutely galling because how can a stunner like her work with her hands in that manner. She would rather grow forests which she is pretty good but it’s too random. What the Construction path allows her to do is to use the rules of construction on her forestry ability. While it sounds simple it is actually more akin to trying to cut grass with a power hose at full blast. The piece of the Sacred Grove of Umbia, that Mordrid “liberated” from a fanatic group, of small faced weirdly gifted and utterly outlandish bunch of cross-dressing axe-wielding nymphs.

As she works her wood weaving away natural straight lines, the bridge slowly comes to life or rather she is growing it like a Bonzai. It is deeply personal for her friend and apple of his eye, his three-piece chicken dinner, sweet sugar and delectable chocolate hottie. Pennie From Heaven has already collected a lot of data about Dridilila favourite colours, flowers, natural features, and, of course, any allergies. The wood Pennie From Heaven is using is the closest she could get in Odyessy to Trench wood from pluto. While trench wood is not strong it is a beautiful hell driver red that no other planet can grow. This IMP-erial Wood has the colour but not texture she works on it while also perfecting her design. 

She made the root foundation grow into the side of the Ridge shaping it into a series of nests that any number of small birds can use. It looks almost like the ridge is covered in diamond Trellis that stretches out to the solitary piece of land.
