Chapter 198: Sun Stoned!
Tyr sets himself a timer he six hours to rob the king and leave. The Hidden Gems’ quest is way more important to complete for their overall.
[Quest]
The Hidden Gems
Difficulty: A-rank
information: Travel to the nine villages and gain the favour of each councilperson.
[1/9]
Tyr knows the most troublesome part of this quest is the escape. With Salome here, he has his alibi. With a little help from Ori, he should be able to get a hold of the Sun Stone easily since no one knows it is a primal element stone.
—Message from Styx and SKY Ocean Hunter to Tyr—
/Styx:- Hermano, this is bullshit! You should also see how angry SKY Ocean Hunter gets. How did you get such a high proficiency score?
/SKY Ocean Hunter:- Seriously guy, you need to give me a clue or something. All the girls are going to clear this by the end of the week. Tatiana is a beast, she is probably going to outscore you.
/Tyr:- Just do your best. It is not something I can explain exactly. I know you don’t want to hear this
/SKY Ocean Hunter:- Fine just remember this, I swear I’m going to make a thousand items like the lifestyle players.
/Styx:- We don’t have the time for that. Just take the class again. The damn Compendium is attracting so many NPC teachers who were stuck themselves. Having them teach us is a great idea.
/SKY Ocean Hunter:- That only works if your teacher is hot. The Apothecary Master teacher is an old man who looks like a shrivelled testicle.
/Tyr:- It’s how the girls didn’t when they went to the Diamond Company. Shit got to run. I’m about to rob the king of Asrugo.
/SKY Ocean Hunter:- Don’t stream it. We are still dealing with the windfall from Capsized Angolan.
—End of Message—
The Quartermaster smiles if there is one thing he hates on a campaign is terrible food. The haste by which this area was expanding. He looks for a parchment paper that came in a few days ago. He strains out loud, reaching for it somewhere under his counter.
“Ha! Yes indeed. Wait for an hour. Do not go anywhere. We will arrest if you do.” In his haste to find one of the king’s servants. The list of goods he must requisition is three states long. Each of these nobles has their own specific dietary needs.
“Does that mean we can’t leave?” Ori, sitting on a bench that has comfortable pillows. Still, the bench is cold and uninviting, like most of the room that is lit just enough.
Tyr stands with his hands behind his back using the system chat. “Doesn’t matter. We are on the clock and you have a mission. I have a plan. All you have to do is stay here in this room with me for three hours. Not a moment longer.
Salome is a level ten Mimic, this means she can only assume the form. She can’t talk or copy any basic mannerisms still Tyr brings her into the quartermaster’s office. He cuts his hand, letting Salome lick the blood from his hand. A few seconds later, the booner shifts into an Identical of the lavish Tyr. “Salome stay! Ori, when the quartermaster returns, it is up to you whether we live or die is up to you.”
Tyr walks out of the office wearing nothing more than simple civilian cloth. The pinnacle ruin is a place he will never forget. This place is the centre of everything it leads east. The only unclaimed Rank 5 dungeon is close by.
He sneaks his way into the central noble district, even here in the middle of a recently excavated cave. The nobles must have the creature comforts of home. His plan is sound and is one he knows will work because of the kings’ aides. He goes to the main servant’s tent.
There, a beautiful blonde servant is getting ready. Pulling up her dress to cover some of her modesty, “Men uniforms are in the next tent.”
“My deepest apologies, my lady. Someone took my house signet. I was hoping the ladies of the house might have a spare.” She lets her dress slip off her ample chest…Tyr turns around immediately like a proper servant. She is really keen he nearly fell for it. If he was still his old self, he would go to jail now.”Apologies my lady!”
The confusion of his memories made him disregard a lot of the life lessons from all his previous lives. She ruffles around some boxes, looking at Tyr. “What house are you from again?”
Tyr can pick from many houses but he is going big, “The house Selierra, as personal attach to High Magician Organa.”
“You! Thin as you are? I know the lady and her retinue personally. You! are most certainly not amongst those august members.” Tyr shudders, letting slip his intent. He can’t fail. Nobody should know the retainers of house Selierra. Lady Organa changes her boys more than her underwear.
“My lady, you forget yourself. I am of the blood even as a servant. My blood is Selierra. You will hand me a signet or let me be on my way! I would hate to remember you, lady Sasha. Chief handmaid of lord Smeg, in the presence of aunt.” Tyr also leaves a handy piece f gossip for the lady. He hopes to both scare and leaves her with a story to tell. The nephew of Lady Organa serving as one of the personal retainers will make her the talk of the town.
“Yes indeed, please accept this with my humble thanks for keeping my honour.” Sasha hands Tyr a signet of The Bloody Star, a symbol of both magic and blood. Two things the house of Selierra is famous for.
[+4 charm]
Tyr goes to the tent that has the men’s uniform. Inside are four servants talking and gossiping about the various going on in the cave. A mini court has appeared around the king as he tries to clear the Pinnacle Ruin.
He doesn’t even bother to introduce himself.” I need a uniform right now!” He flashes his Selierra signet. The men stumble about, climbing over each other to give Tyr what he wants. He takes the one with the lower half a face cover. Selierra, like house Tar, often hides powerful family members as servants so it is not uncommon for them to be covered up out on the field.
Tyr walks to the item processing tent. Here, many NPCs and a few players are trying to identify items from the Pinnacle Ruins. “You come with me,” Tyr commands a player. The box with the Sun Stone was one of the first to be brought out of the Pinnacle Ruins. Only nobody knows how to activate the lockbox. He points out three boxes. The one he wants is in the middle. It looks like a box made of stone. The writing is too weathered to be read.
“Hey what are you guys doing?” Three guards approach the two players. The item is usually free of guards, however, these guys are dropping some new items out.
“He said I should.” The identifier points at Tyr. He doesn’t want any trouble, it is already hard enough to get a good like this one. He doesn’t care about the pay. Once he is done, here he will be at the third level of his lifestyle class. He can’t wait for the day. Most players are still Novices and in a few more days he will be a journeyman.
“I am doing as commanded, Lady Organa. What three items as the lunch. I am here to make sure they deliver results.” Tyr flashes his signet which makes two soldiers hesitate. The lady Organa is a name that instils fear and hopefully will let them slide.
“That is hours what are doing with these now?” The one soldier is also a member of Selierra’s magic corps and doesn’t recognise Tyr at all. The Warzard sends some magic to his signet, a signal between members of the house…
