Chapter 129: Red Iron Island
The Red Iron Island has been devastated by the incursion of demons. Large swaths of land are constantly sinking into the ocean. What used to be solid pieces of land are crumbling away from the Island. The fragmented portions of the remaining land are sparsely interconnected. The Sunken Reef members are doing their best to survive the destruction and new leaders like Umbra and Alistair have focused on building the rafts to increase the guild naval power. This has meant that they can defend the newly appearing sea routes into the Red Iron Island. While naval warfare isn’t up to scratch some scraps have at least been interesting. Yes indeed in the midst of a catastrophe some guilds think they can take advantage and have been launching coastal raids. The chaos has sparked a sort of free for all, amongst some of the players. Making the simple journey from and to Pike a perilous journey.
One such team of Delvers has been making great strides. It seems that the ocean-based classes like a Delvers and those that can choose some ocean-related skills like the Bandits, and Raiders are also doing quite well a popular combination is the Stromcaller, Delver and Sea Raider classes together they cover every aspect of naval exploration and combat. Other players like to offer their protection to the various sea crafts. While Sunken Reef is the only one with a Trimaran raft design. Others have found canoes and small magic-powered speed boats.
The region is going through a number of changes. The Sabra-ants are working on pulling all their forces onto Blue Crystal Island. However, the incursions of demons have not spared them like on any of the main four Islands. The fighting against demons shall become so intense that some major guilds in the region are even thinking of temporary peace. However, the leader and vice-captains of both Crippling Desert and Frost Empire have laughed off the idea and stated that the only they would work together is if the other guilds submit to them. This has forced a few smaller guilds to start joining factions belonging to the bigger guilds. Most players share still trying to figure out how to get better items and build up proper weapon and skills capacity. Crippling Desert is also a leader in the information market to the ire of Styx. He doesn’t mind the competition but Sunken Reef is doing something that none of the others is doing. They are releasing most of the basic locations and rewards to the general public. In the form of a guide meaning that they have also opened up many areas on Red Iron Island to these players. These players in turn have helped keep a large number of Nuisance mobs under control. On Red Iron Island a particular kind of feral goblin with purple ironized skin is just a bother to fight as they don’t give many rewards and are tough as all heck. They hover a great source plate of steel. These two have also meant that, unlike some guilds who guard their lands against all others. Sunken Reefs open door policy has meant that a lot of resources flow out of the island.
This has made Sunken Reef incredibly popular but also extremely vulnerable in some respects also being a mostly new guild means they are scrambling around Red Iron Island. Compared to the nearly authoritarian power Frost Empire has over Silver Grass Island. They have literally deployed hundreds of battalions to specific places on the island they find of strategic advantage. The fundamental operations and logistical nightmare to pull this show how having experience can really help a guild to weather the storm. They are the most professional outfit around and through their efforts, they have safely secured sixty per cent of the island the rest like Red Iron Island has fallen into the ocean. The demons destroy the lands some at the core once they reach sufficient numbers they will land crumbles into the sea. On the main, they have no such problems the Kingdom for example is fielding their knight Examplar even though only trainees this regiment on flying horses have devastated the demons whose average level is under while the trainees are around level one hundred and fifty. Also, they have defences in every settlement and other kingdom special methods to deploy rapid response troops. Some streamers have even caught glimpses of real knights of the crown moving out in large numbers which is why the Eastern Empire is on edge. All Knights of the crown agave flying mounts which means the mountains are not a serious obstacle if they decided to launch a real raid in the Eastern Empire territory.
The Demons are spreading like wildfire leaving nothing behind not even ashes behind. The mayor has brought his demons to the border of Tranesria. The city of those accursed people must be destroyed. They are an affront to the Great Master and his plans, They have been the primary reason for them failing to open to Dimensional Gate to the Great masters’ personal hellscape. The mayor had been wary of attacking the city because of the ability of Transferians to transform into beasts. The has seen countless demonic spawns felled by the monk-like warriors of Tranesria. They have always been abnormally hostile towards the demons every one of their past infiltrations has failed dismally.
The mayor flanked by waves of demonic spawn feels much better now the end of the city will be delivered by the mayor gaining the masters’ favour. He is unable to leave Red Iron Island so he can only hope the other villagers are doing their jobs or else the master will skin them all for eternity. The city has thick walls and the rapidly responding avions are filling the tops of the thick walls with their numbers. On both sounds, they re-gearing their strongest fighters for an all-out brawl. What happens here will determine the fate of the world.
MInks says, “We can’t it not right. We should be here. We should stay and fight.” The Temple master smiles at her granddaughter. Minks has been too kind and ready to sacrifice for others. Minks has always stood up against evil which is why she must be protected. Minks eyes fill with tears.
The Temple Master says, “No, we have guarded this place for longer than necessary. They will need you’ll help, more than we do. You must take the others and lead them away from danger. Please my child save those that you can and let them fight this battle as long as they succeed they will become intertwined with this destiny.” Minks shakes her head as the Temple master puts her hands on Minks’ face. Wiping the tears away giving her granddaughter that knowing look. They are facing a great disaster which they are unlikely to survive which is just fine with the temple master. The whole point of Tranesria is to defend the ancestral which is hopefully going to fall into the hands of those gifted boys.
She felt something kind and powerful about all three even the rude one. Each has something important to do and she has demons to kill.
After what seems like an eternity of watching her granddaughter escape through one of the portals towards the ancestral city. Then she does her heavy green coloured Monk-like garments. She appears at the main gate ready to fight the demons with all she has. At the gate, all the lold leaders who have been with for over three hundred are all here. The only people missing are their children and critical staff for the ancestral city. They have trained for this moment all their lives are now that it is truly here she feels oddly nervous.
The Temple Master has fought these demonic beings her whole however this is different besides the obvious change in strategy. Something has made the demons desperate enough to launch an all-out attack. Thi her this is because of her actions of letting SKY Ocean Hunter enter the Ancestral City. No, it’s ont desperation it’s something she can’t understand they have no way to win according to her. This is just a bunch of idiots preparing to get themselves killed. The Temple Master prepares herself she will gladly help the demons pass on to the next plane.
The Mayor is the first to howl his form even bigger and more imposing standing thirteen feet at the shoulder. He join by ground shaking wall breaking thorned diggers. They have massive rows of teeth all mouth not tell y head put on top of a bear-like body that is thirty meters big with most of its body underground. The battle begins with the Maulers destroying the walls of Tranesria. The fight from there descends into a battle of survival against the demons. In the last hours of battle, the true killers arrive laying waste to everything in sight in less than five hours the once-mighty city of Tranesria is becoming a cove on the western side of the island.
