Chapter 58: The Beautiful Spider Maiden

The moment I felt the hand grab my shoulder, my entire body shuddered, and I reacted instantly. I was in disbelief.

’What kind of monster could sneak up on me without me even noticing?’

With my claws extended, I prepared to attack, but I froze when I saw who it was.

“Roran?”

It was the alpha of the pack who stood behind me. His presence was so low I couldn’t even sense him. He ignored me completely and stared at the werewolves who were now dead.

“It’s her,” he muttered so loudly it sounded more like a growl.

“By her, I assumed he meant the yokai.”

He glared at me and muttered.

“Who else?”

Without saying another word, he stormed off. I followed behind him, figuring it would be the safest choice. He moved as if he was on a warpath, slaughtering every arachni we came across.

“Where are you going?” I decided to ask after some time.

“To find my son. This entire thing is pointless without him, and maybe I will finally kill that yokai that settled on my land. I should’ve done it long ago.”

A yokai cannot be killed, but I’m sure he knows that. If you somehow manage to kill one, then they’ll just return a few seconds after. Facing off against that thing seemed like a bad idea. They were a freak of nature that I didn’t want any part of.

“Did you happen to see where your mother went?” Roran asked just as he finished bashing in the head of an arachni.

“No, I lost sight of everyone when that fog hit.”

Roran hissed, clearly frustrated.

“It wasn’t a fog. It was web. She releases tiny fibers of her web that make it look like fog. Then she uses her arachni to ambush her prey. It’s her signature move. Yokai are tricky bastards.”

Roran and I walked for what seemed like hours, but still, we couldn’t locate anything. My senses were severely diminished just by being in her territory. After a while, Roran finally stopped and let out a deep sigh.

“We aren’t getting anywhere like this. We should split up.”

“Doing that would only mean having more people to find,” I answered.

A hint of anger flashed across his face, and he stared at me intensely. I guess the way I answered was unusual for someone in his pack.

“Forgive me, you’re right. The best option is to split up,” I said, agreeing.

He said nothing, only growled and stormed off. After he was a few feet away, he finally shouted something.

“If you see my son, make sure he is safe, even if you have to die in the process.”

I watched Roran’s figure slowly disappear and sighed in exhaustion. Soon it was just me and my thoughts.

“Something the matter, darling?”

I was momentarily startled as I heard a woman chuckling behind me. I quickly turned around to see a beautiful pale-skinned woman with long black hair tied in a bun. She was dressed in a gray yukata that was adorned with intricate floral patterns. Her yukata could hardly contain her large breasts from spilling out. The split in the yukata revealed her thick thighs the color of ashes.

She giggled playfully and had a black fan covering half her face.

“You’ve been a naughty boy,” she giggled again.

“How so?” I asked.

“Well, for one, you and your friends have been killing my babies.”

By babies I assumed she meant the arachni.

“Your babies attacked us. We were just defending ourselves.”

“Foolish wolf, don’t you know this is my land you’re on? Don’t get me wrong, strong men are always welcomed, but you dare bring other women with you. You hurt me. That’s why I killed those other wolves instead of taking them as mine.”

“Are you planning to kill me too?”

Her face lit up in a pink blush, and she began licking her cherry-colored lips.

“I’m planning on doing all sorts of things to you. I know a man with stamina when I see one.”

With an erotic grin on her face, she allowed her yukata to fall halfway down her shoulder, giving me a view of her full breasts and her pointed pink nipples, which were standing upright. She licked her lips and draped her hands up her thighs in a seductive manner.

“How long can you last? Weeks, months, years?”

Her once pale face was now glowing red, and I could see a bit of steam coming out of her mouth as she dreamt up wild fantasies.

“With a man like you, I’ll need no other man. Our babies would not need to suffer because with your genes, they’ll be nearly invincible. It’s been years since I’ve felt this way about anyone.”

Her purple-colored eyes stared at me wildly, and just as I was about to answer her obscene request, a loud primal roar erupted. I glanced to the side to see Kaelen madly charging at the yokai. The moment she saw him, a frown appeared on her face. Then two more pairs of eyes grew on her forehead.

“Yokai! You monster! Get off our land!” Kaelen shouted as he charged.

She lazily flicked her wrist, and immediately webs appeared and tied their way around Kaelen’s feet, sending him crashing down to the ground mid-charge. Kaelen growled angrily and used his claws to escape from the web; then he proceeded to jump several feet into the air toward the yokai.

She nimbly dodged his attacks as he swung his claws at her with an untamed ferocity. Watching this, it became painfully clear to me that Kaelen was no match for her. She stopped his rampage with ease, then proceeded to sink her fangs into his neck. The veins on Kaelen’s neck glowed bright green, and he fell to the ground, unable to move.

Her venom seemed to have a paralysis effect. Maybe that was how she had her way with her prey. She went in for the kill, but I couldn’t allow that to happen. It would be a nuisance for me if Kaelen were to die here.

I prepared to attack and released a bit of my bloodlust, but just then, something strange happened. The yokai froze; her black hair fell over her face, so I couldn’t see her face. But suddenly, she lifted her head and stared at me, still; her face was wild and grew bright shade of red.

“Darling~” she squealed, and suddenly her legs went weak, and she fell to the ground, still moaning.

I was left confused, but it seemed whatever it was, it was caused by my bloodlust; maybe it’s affecting her somehow.

“Darling…. It feels…mnh… I’m gonna…”

Her body spasmed wildly, and her fingers dug into the dirt as she lay on the ground with her back arched.

“Oh, Darling~ Darling~ Darling~ My Darling~ You’re making me so hot.”

For some reason, she seemed satisfied by what was happening to her. I could tell that from the massive grin on her face and the wild look in her eyes. Her hips buckled as she continued to spasm uncontrollably. She looked like a wild animal in heat. I could even see a bit of excitement happening between her legs.

Could my bloodlust really have such an effect on her? But why?

Wasting no more time, I lifted up Kaelen and threw him over my shoulder. I didn’t know for how long we were running, but eventually we managed to exit the forest. Surprisingly, everyone had made it out too. Maybe what was happening with the yokai made it easier for them to escape.

While Liam was out of the forest, the yokai continued to moan wildly. Her moans reverberated through the entire forest, and suddenly her purple eyes began to take on the shape of a heart. Her breathing was reduced to nothing but ragged gasps as hot steam blew from her mouth.

She dug her fingers into the dirt as she felt pleasure coursed through her entire body. Pleasure she had never felt before in her life. She had lived for over a millennium but never had her body felt such satisfaction before. The ground beneath her was soaking wet as she continued to writhe in pure ecstasy. In that moment she felt as if her entire being belonged to one man.

“MY Darling~”

“His bloodlust… It feels so good. He’s no ordinary wolf, I can sense it.”

“My darling~ I have to make him mine~ Only mine no matter what~”
