Death had claimed me. I had been put into the hospital after a particularly brutal attack from my own sister, a bitch who hated my guts more than anything. All because I refused to give her money I rightfully earned over the years, so that she can spend it on her brats who were already looking to become as bad as she was. She attacked me after I denied her, as she had been put into some rather deep debt from a whole lot of heavy spending on fancy clothes.

I, on the other hand, cared little for fancy clothing, and simply saved my money and lived in comfort. I cared little for others and kept to myself at all times, ignoring the glares and hatred of others at the job I had worked, a high paying position thanks to my PHD in Economics and my Masters in History.

I had – besides working – loved reading comics and books, primarily DC and Marvel, especially Scarlet Witch. She was strong, intelligent, and I felt sort of a kindred spirit to her which was…weird, we both had a father who left us young, and a mother that wasn’t there. Although she has a lot more restraint and kindness than I ever would.

I especially loved her magic, as it was incredibly powerful, and unique in its own way.

But now I was dead, so none of that love for fiction, the knowledge gained through school, and the money from my hard work, mattered anymore. At least…that’s what I thought.

[3rd POV]

As the woman sat within the infinite void, she sighed boredly. Only to stop when a soft glow began to form in front of her, as her eyes widened slightly, as a large golden wheel formed in front of her, words appearing in above them.

[You have been chosen to be reborn into the DC multiverse, based off of the comics and a mixture of other DC media. Please spin the wheel in which you shall get a total of 7 characters powers, with one of them not counting as a “Character” as it will be your primary template, in which your appearance will be, and the one that will influence you the most, albeit without too much[

Reading this all, the woman breathed in deeply in understanding, as she got to her feet and walked over to the wheel, and spun it as hard as she could, praying inwardly that she would get some good characters, ones that would give her the power to properly defend herself in a world like DC.

“That…is a bit much, don’t you think?” The woman asked in genuine surprise, before continuing “Although, with it being DC comics, I guess it isn’t too surprising that I would be given all this power. That, and I have no interest in involving myself in the Justice League or all of that. If possible, I’d rather just do what Wanda did, and open up a store, perhaps a book store? I did love books and history in my past life, and maybe have a comics section?”

She’d have loved to open a book store in her past life, as she didn’t really enjoy her job even if it paid very well. And with her love of reading, comics, and fiction, opening a book store did sound appealing to her.

With the characters and “template” selected, the wheel slowly disappeared into nothingness as the words changed once more.

“Well thanks for this I guess” The woman muttered, as she began to get pulled away from the infinite void, disappearing as the words slowly disappeared, leaving the void infinitely dark once again.

[3rd POV]

Within a medium sized modern bedroom, a gorgeous woman lay. Long auburn hair flowing behind her impressive hourglass figure. Standing at around 5’7 with slightly toned arms and abs, as slowly, her eyes began to open, revealing powerful red glowing eyes that soon faded to an incredible emerald green color. For this woman was Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch.

As she opened her eyes, Wanda glanced around her room with slight confusion, before realization settled in. “So I truly did die…and I’ve got all of these memories as well…incredible” Wanda muttered, as she felt all the power within her, including the Darkhold that was assimilated with her (The Wanda of 616) even holding the Elder God Chthon within still, no longer merely imprisoned, now completely assimilated and consumed by her overwhelmingly powerful soul.

‘So it was more like I got 8 characters instead of 7, for I even have the powers of that creature’ Wanda thought, getting to her feet as a soft crimson glow formed around her, warping reality as she created a comfortable set of clothes on her figure.

Walking through her new bedroom, Wanda noticed a not on her nightstand, as she lifted it and began to read it.

Hello Wanda, welcome to your new life! We have taken the liberty of gifting you a bookstore based off of your wishes, and filled it with books you’d realistically sell, as well as a background (One that is not the best, so should it come under scrutiny by the right person, it will be seen through). You have also been given the basic necessities, a phone with all your favorite apps (Including movies, shows, etc, except for Marvel and DC ones), and 50,000 USD in your bank account. Enjoy your new life!

“Huh…about what I was expecting” Wanda muttered as she obliterated the note from existence, and left her new room. Her home was actually the apartment above the book store, with the book store being known as “Emporium” just like Wanda of Earth 616’s, her past self? She wasn’t sure what to call it. She was still a Nexus being and still possessed all the unique attributes of her various “Characters” but it was…different now, stronger, and no longer bound to a singular multiverse.

“I do wonder what timeline I’m in. As I do know that I’m in a universe connected to the mainline Prime Universe, likely a sister/cousin universe, but I wonder how powerful the beings here are? I suppose I’ll have to wait and see, but I’ll assume that Young Justice is a big part of the plot of this world, as it tends to be in worlds like this” Wanda said, as she walked into her kitchen, creating some tea for herself as she sipped on it with a pleased sigh.

‘Chaos Magic and Reality Warping truly is a gift’ Wanda thought with a smile, as she sipped on her tea, using her new phone as she browsed the internet.

‘So the year is 2009? If this is largely based off of Young Justice, then they won’t become a team until next year’ Wanda thought with a hum, as she looked at the map function, eyebrow shooting up as she did.

‘And I’m in Happy Harbor? Well that all but confirms my suspicions. Although, I believe I’ll have to create a dimensional door in some other places if I want some proper business. Perhaps Gotham? Although the bat may become an issue’ Wanda thought, knowing that Happy Harbor was not exactly a well of book lovers, whereas a place like Gotham would likely work a lot better for her.

‘Doing so should be easy enough. I guess I can add a door in D.C as well, that should be enough doors to gain some proper customers without drawing too much attention’ Wanda decided inwardly, which wouldn’t be too difficult with her power, it would only take a trip over there and a few moments of warding the door so that none could destroy it, or see it if they had negative/harmful intentions, all of which was laughably easy for someone of her power.

Getting to her feet, Wanda stretched, a small smile on her face as she inwardly had one thought on her mind.

‘For now, let’s see more of this shop of mine!’

Originally I was going to make her a villain, before deciding to switch it up and make her a simple book store owner instead, an overpowered book store owner that could atomize universes and warp reality on a multiversal scale at her peak, but still a book store owner.

No clue who to make the love interest, but I was thinking that Raven and Death of the Endless as she will only get with a max of 2 girls, maybe not even that (I’ll change the tags if needed)

This universe is largely based around Young Justice, with a lot of the plot being that. But there obviously will be a lot of comic events going down too, like Darkseid’s invasion, Flashpoint, Injustice (Might even have her go there at some point), and the big events like Infinite Crisis, Perpetua, and the Batman who Laughs.
