[3rd POV]

As it turns out, beating the snot out of S ranked missing nin like Kisame and Itachi, tended to catch a shit ton of attention. Especially from Jiraiya, who now looked at Wanda with an entirely new light, as he realized that she truly was very powerful.

And while he wasn’t sure he she was as strong as him, he knew for a fact that she was very capable, and more than powerful enough to take care of, and protect Naruto from certain members of the Akatsuki. So, the complaints regarding that aspect began to cease.

It was a couple of days later since that event, and the trio had enjoyed their time traveling around the nation, following the leads for Tsunade. No other difficulties had arrived during that time, as Wanda had taken care of anything that could have become a problem.

So instead, Naruto spent it training and just enjoying the process, as it was basically just a vacation for him more than anything. As nothing was happening, and Jiraiya was the one who was doing most of the hunting for Tsunade.

A hunt that had officially ended as of today, as Wanda, Milim, and Naruto all walked behind Jiraiya, towards where Tsunade should be at the moment.

“How are we going to get Tsunade to come with us, pervy sage?” Naruto asked, as the man grumbled at the nickname, before responding.

“We just gotta tell her that she’s being chosen to become the Hokage and she’ll come running. If not…well, I’ve got another plan, but I’d really prefer to not have to go down that route” Jiraiya said, sweating as he knew the other plan was…

To offer to pay off ALL her debts, and she had a lot of them. By paying off all these debts, she’d come back, but she had a shit ton of debt, and even with the money he made from his perverted books, it would be very expensive.

“We can always drag her back too! I’m sure fighting her could be fun!” Milim said with a bright grin, having heard of how strong Tsunade was.

Jiraiya looked at Milim with a sweatdrop, knowing that the kid was way stronger than she looked, and he had seen some of the workouts she had done. And quite frankly, he had no idea if she could beat Tsunade or not, but considering how powerful Wanda was…he wouldn’t be surprised if she could.

“Yeah…maybe not that. She needs to come willingly…somewhat. So that’ll be a last resort sort of thing” Jiraiya responded, as Wanda, nodding with the perverted man who had actually been growing a bit over the past few days.

He wasn’t nearly as bad as he was before, and was beginning to respect Naruto and his boundaries, as well as his choice of seeing Milim as his sister and Wanda as his mother. As he began to see just how much Wanda cared for him, and the power that she held that could protect him from those who wished to use him.

Eventually, the group of four walked into a restaurant, one that Wanda knew Tsunade in, and one that Jiraiya wished to use to gather information, as it could be a good source of info.

Only, he paused when he looked off into the distance, locking eyes with a tall beautiful woman. This woman was…Tsunade Senju.

“Jiraiya?!” Tsunade yelled, shocked to see him.

“Tsunade?! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” Jiraiya replied in shock, as Naruto and Milim both blinked upon looking at her. Especially Milim, considering she could see through the illusion that was covering Tsunade’s real form.

“That’s Tsunade? She’s younger than I was expecting” Milim said in slight surprise, as she looked a lot younger than she actually was, even under the illusion. Younger looking than Jiraiya at least.

Eventually the group of four moved and sat across from Tsunade, who had been very obviously drinking that night, as well as her protege, Shizune.

“It’s like a reunion. All y’all’s faces coming back at the same time” Tsunade spoke, as she downed her drink, some sort of alcohol, as Milim and Naruto both glanced at her.

‘This…is just sad’ Naruto thought, while Milim thought she looked pathetic.

“You mean Orochimaru? So, what happened?” Jiraiya asked, as he finished his own drink, the last of the bottle being poured into Tsunade’s shot glass.

“Oh, nothing very much. We said hello, that’s about it” Tsunade said, as Milim let out an audible snort.

“Alright, I’ll cut right to the chase. Tsunade, the village – in it’s great wisdom – has decided to name you as the Fifth Hokage” Jiraiya said, dropping the bombshell casually as Tsunade paused, before looking up at Jiraiya.

“You heard about the Third Hokage, right?” Jiraiya asked casually.

“It was Orochimaru’s doing, right? I heard about it” Tsunade responded as if it was nothing, as if it didn’t matter to her. And while it did, thanks to her trauma, she truly didn’t want to return.

The conversation continued between the two, before eventually, Jiraiya got to the topic of Minato, and in response, Tsunade…said some rather foolish things, that caused the situation to escalate.

“Oh, sure, but all that didn’t save him from dying young. Throwing his life away all for the sake of the village. Money’s one thing, a life’s another. To risk your life against all odds, that’s a suckers bet. My grandfather and his successor, they were also willing to die to defend the village. Well, they’re both dead all right, and the village is no safer than it ever was” Tsunade responded, as Jiraiya spoke up.

“Sounds to me, you’ve changed Tsunade. I don’t know what’s happened to make you like this, but to say such things out loud?” Jiraiya responded, keeping calm.

Tsunade just let out a giggle in response “Don’t forget I am not as young as I look. The years have taught me a great deal. Sarutobi-sensei too, he should have known better. What did he expect trying to be a hero at his age?”

“Ha, playing as Hokage? Count me out, it’s a fools game” Tsunade finished, as finally, Milim and Naruto could not hold it in anymore, as they both spoke at the same time, and said the same words.

“”What a coward”” They both said coldly.

“What? And who are you brats to say that to me?” Tsunade replied with a scoff, as Naruto and Milim both grinned.

“I’m Naruto Uzumaki, and I will become the next Hokage, dattebayo!” Naruto exclaimed with a wide grin.

“And I’m Milim Nava, way stronger than an old hag like you, and sure as hell not a coward!” Milim said, as they both grinned at her, causing Tsunade to snort.

“Please, a pipsqueak like you? I could break you in half with my pinky finger. And who’s the last one supposed to be, one of the girls you pay to have fun with, Jiraiya?” Tsunade asked with a smirk, looking at Wanda who just snorted while Naruto and Milim glared at her.

“I’m the mother of these two. And I’d appreciate it if you didn’t say such things about me. I’d hate to harm the future Hokage, and I’ve always wished to meet the granddaughter of Hashirama Senju in person. Too bad how you’ve turned out, I’m sure him and his brother would be horribly disappointed in you” Wanda said while sipping her tea, as Tsunade launched up, the table shattering underneath her fist.

“What’d you say?!”

“I said that your family would be horribly disappointed in how you have turned out. Hashirama, Tobirama, Mito, as well as the ones that have caused you to become this shell of your former self, Dan and Nawaki” Wanda replied simply, as Tsunade’s anger flew over the top and her fist launched towards Wanda, only for it to be blocked by Milim who caught it casually.

“Don’t attack my Mama when she’s speaking, coward” Milim glared, threatening to crush the woman’s fist but stopped when Wanda shook her head.

“Don’t hurt her, hon. She’s just grieving. And while she’s doing it in a horrible way, she is hurting. But I must say, do you really think that running from your problems, gambling and drinking your life away, is going to change anything?” Wanda asked, as she looked the woman in the eyes.

As the question flew from her mouth, Wanda locked eyes with Tsunade, one thought on her mind as she waited for her to speak.

‘…This’ll be interesting’
