[3rd POV]

A couple of days after the end of the Preliminary rounds of the chunin exams, Naruto had already begun to train with Wanda. The training itself was pretty much the same as what she had been giving him before the exams, as least, for now.

She would be expanding on the training soon, but for now she would stick with the basics until the time was right.

At the moment Wanda was sitting in one of the natural hot springs that was on the Uzumaki property. The warm waters were coating her skin as Wanda let out a pleasured sigh, the warmth was comforting and a very very pleasant feeling.

Besides her was her daughter Milim, who was also enjoying the warmth of the hot spring. While Naruto was in the men’s side of the hot spring, which was separated by a large wall that could actually be talked through, allowing for them to continue communicating even while bathing in different areas.

“I wish I knew about hot springs sooner” Milim said with a pleased sigh, having never been in a hot spring before which was a shock to Wanda. She expected someone who was hundreds of years old like Milim, to have been in one at least once.

But it seems she was wrong in her belief.

“Mmm, I’ll have to create a dimension for a hot spring in the store” Wanda said, as the warmth of the hot spring felt even better than a normal hot bath she would have.

“Definitely” Milim said as she leaned back, her body lowering further into the warm waters of the hot spring. It was the most comfortable “bath” she had ever had, and that was saying a lot, because she has had a lot of baths over her years of living.

“Neither of you have ever been in a hot spring before, really?” Naruto asked on the other end of the wall, shocked at their words. He had expected Milim to at least have been in one before, but to hear that she hadn’t either was a shock.

“Nope, this is my first time. I’ve never really cared about bathing in them before this, but now I can see the appeal” Milim responded to her little brother, understanding why people liked them so much.

“They don’t have these sorts of things where I come from, not many of them at least” Wanda added, as the US did have hot springs, but not like Japan did, and not like the Elemental Nations. It wasn’t even remotely as popular, and there was not even a tenth of the amount.

As Wanda enjoyed the warmth of the hot spring, she stopped as she felt someone standing at the entrance of the front gates to the compound. From what she could tell they were decently powerful, around the same level as Hiruzen. If she was right, then this was likely Jiraiya, who was probably trying to find Naruto to meet the boy for the first time, the first proper time at least.

Wanda wouldn’t let the pervert into the compound, not with his neglect of her son, not when he abandoned Naruto without even thinking about him. Using the flimsy excuse that he had to run a spy ring, which was more so an excuse to be a pervert spying on girls.

She liked Jiraiya in the anime, but in the real world, when actually near the man, she didn’t. He was a pervert who spied on women, in anime it was funny, in the real world it was creepy as hell. Especially when some of those girls were young girls, which made it even worse.

Although she doubted he spied on them on purpose, as he didn’t seem like “That” type of person. He was a terrible godfather, but he wasn’t a pedo.

‘He’ll meet Naruto eventually, but not right now’ Wanda thought, blocking the man from even attempting to enter the compound. The man grumbled as he realized the seals were blocking him, but decided to head off and try to meet Naruto again when he wasn’t in the compound.

He needed to train the brat, afterall. At least, that’s what his sensei had told him to do, even if he really didn’t want to, with Naruto being a reminder of his failure of protecting Minato and Kushina.

‘…He’s similar to Tsunade in that regard, I guess’ Wanda thought, reading his mind effortlessly as she saw what he was thinking in regards to his godson. It made sense, but it didn’t make the neglect any better, and it didn’t excuse him for his abandonment.

Wanda then turned her senses to the others that were outside the Uzumaki compound, a group of people that caused her to frown deeply.

‘…Looks like I’ll need to rip some roots out’ Wanda thought, sensing around a dozen ROOT members that were watching the compound, waiting for Naruto to leave in order to spy on him.

Sadly for the little rat Danzo, his members wouldn’t be returning to report back. As each of their skulls popped like balloons, their bodies disappeared as Wanda absorbed them from a distance, taking their chakra and power for herself.

It was pretty much useless to her, but she did find some of the memories to be useful to her. They knew a few interesting techniques and a few new martial arts as well.

With that said and done, Wanda returned back to her enjoyable time in the hot springs with her children.

The next day, Wanda was sipping on some delicious tea, an umbrella covering her as she laid out in the warm sun, enjoying the weather as Naruto panted in exhaustion. He was running around a large track, on his arms and legs were small weighted bands that increased whenever he adapted to them.

Behind him was Milim, who had a wide grin on her face, as whenever he began to slow down or stop, she’d catch up and begin to flick him with quite a bit of strength, which tended to hurt.

The training itself could be considered brutal, but it was nothing in comparison to what other shinobi that were a bit stricter tended to do.

At the same time, Naruto had around 150 clones around the clearing, sparring with one another, with another 50 training their chakra control, as clones of Wanda were overseeing them, making sure they were doing it properly.

They were for the most part, as her son was a little genius and had rapidly adapted to the changes, and was learning even faster than in canon thanks to all of his clones working in tandem. He was taking full advantage of his practically infinite chakra, and his increasingly powerful physique.

Watching him train, Wanda smiled ‘He’s doing well. At this rate he’ll overtake his canon counterpart by miles. And once Tsunade comes and becomes the new Hokage, he’ll be able to leave on his training trip with me. With that, he’ll be able to become stronger than anyone else in this universe’ Wanda thought, planning on helping her son become stronger.

Going to Milim’s universe was one of the first things they would do. She also planned for him to learn how to utilize Aura and even Haki, both of them being an immense boon to someone like him.

“W-When can I stop Mama!?” Naruto yelled, sweat trickling down his body, as he panted in exhaustion. He had been doing the physical training for over an hour and a half now, and it was beginning to wear on his stamina.

“Soon Naruto, just a bit longer” Wanda said as she took another sip of her tea, giving her son an eye smile that made him shiver. She was terrifying when she wanted to be, and thanks to his prank last night, this was his punishment.

Said prank was dying his sister’s clothes a rainbow color, which would have been alright by itself, except the dye had exploded and ended up coating both her and Milim in rainbow dye.

Milim grinned at her mothers words, knowing that this was Naruto’s punishment for yesterday. Naruto could only grumble at her words, before continuing to run with Milim behind him.

Watching as Naruto got back to her training, Wanda smiled, pleased, as she leaned back in her chair, sipping on her tea, one thought on her mind.

‘…This is fun!’
