[3rd POV]

After the good start to the morning, the shop was back in full swing, the events involving the Justice League already far behind her. Well, that is what she wanted, but it turns out the villains of DC had other ideas.

“I must truly apologize for the foolishness of the Justice league. I have no idea why they had done such a horrible thing. And I will make sure to bring this matter up to the right parties to get them properly punished” Lex Luthor said, giving her an apologetic look, bowing slightly.

“I’ve already punished them, Mr Luthor. You will find that Captain Atom shall never find love for the rest of his life, because he decided to lay a hand on my son” Wanda responded, waving off his concern.

She still found it a little discomforting that the villains were still acting better than the heroes tended to. She was honestly questioning why the heroes were even popular anymore when they acted like this.

She imagined that they likely didn’t show their true colors very often, and likely had better control over their own emotions when there was others to control them. Like Batman, who would realistically never allow for them to act like that.

Not when it could bring some huge consequences to the League.

Batman was likely already coming up with plans on how to properly teach them to control themselves, as well as when not to start a fight. Like they tried to with her before Captain Atom stepped in like an idiot.

“Oh? That is quite nasty. Was it some sort of curse?” Lex asked, genuinely curious what she had done to Captain Atom.

“It was, yes. Magic has infinite uses, Mr Luthor. And you will find that I know just about every single use for magic that there is” Wanda responded, as the man looked even more interested in hearing more about that.

“And would it be possible for me to buy the books that teach this knowledge?” Lex questioned, as he was very prepared to offer a lot of money for the books if so.

“Hmm, sadly no. I only sell books that use magic to those that have the ability to use it. Even then, certain books in my collection are for my eyes only. And no offense, but you have to be far stronger to handle the book that that particular curse is in” Wanda responded, as the man looked a little disappointed but didn’t dare to push the issue.

“I suppose that makes sense. But I will admit that I am interested. If I was to perhaps find someone that is capable of using these books, would you allow me to purchase them?” Lex asked, still wanting to buy them even if he himself couldn’t use them.

“Hmmm, I suppose it is possible. But it will have to be a very skilled user of magic. And even then, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to utilize the magic within the books itself. But if you can find someone, I’ll let you buy all of them if you wish. Although I will tell you that the books cost more due to their rarity, but I doubt that’ll matter to you” Wanda responded, as the man hummed.

“I believe I know a few people who can utilize the books. And no, money does not matter in this case” Lex responded with a chuckle, before glancing at Mercy who brought out a small book.

“This is a gift from my…friends and I. We noticed that you do not have this book in your collection, and thought it could be a good addition” Lex said, as Wanda looked down at the book humming in interest.

She found almost immediately that the book was absolutely not from this world. And the book was in fact from Apocalypse, the world ruled over by Darkseid. Which made this book VERY rare, and one that can only be found there.

“Oh? This is quite the gift, Luthor. I’m assuming it’s Savage and his deal with a certain being from beyond this world?” Wanda asked, as Luthor chuckled.

“I’m not even surprised you know about that. And yes, it is from my friend Savage. I do hope this will make up for the bad blood, I’d hate to not be able to shop here in the future due to the actions of the foolish heroes” Lex responded.

“Oh you aren’t in trouble for that, Luthor. This shop is absolutely neutral, all heroes and villains are allowed. Well…most of them at least. I am not letting Joker anywhere near here, and any rapist or pedophiles are getting atomized on sight” Wanda said.

“I’d be concerned if you did let that freak anywhere near here. And not even us villains are willing to be near Rapists and Pedophiles. Most of us prefer to subtly get rid of them when we have the chance” Lex responded, being very open with his disgust for the Joker, rapists, and pedophiles.

Even villains have limits, and those three were those limits. Hell, even Vandal Savage and Ra’s Al Ghul didn’t permit or condone such actions, and were pretty ruthless to any of their subordinates that ever committed such a thing.

Who knew villains weren’t completely terrible?

“Good, it’ll make working with all of you far easier” Wanda said with a chuckle, as she took the book without complaint and sent it off to get copied, as well as the original being sent for her to read later.

She was curious what the books from Apocalypse would teach. But would have to find that out later that day, as for now, she was more focused on the conversation with Lex Luthor.

“Well, I think it’s time I get going. And truly, I apologize for the Justice League’s actions” Lex said, giving her another bow before walking off with Mercy.

Watching him leave, Wanda chuckled ‘Villains sure know how to suck up to someone’

“We sure are sucking up to her a lot, aren’t we?” The voice of Queen Bee echoed, as each of the members of the light were in a video call with one another.

“It’s worth it. She has access to knowledge beyond anything else in this universe” Ra’s responded, finding that Wanda was an excellent partner to work with, and the books he had bought from her were incredibly interesting.

He was already implementing some of the martial arts techniques to the rest of the league, but only after he himself had learned the art after a lot of practice.

“Not to mention her magical books, the spells within those books are truly incredible. And that is not something I say lightly” Black Adam spoke, as he had recently become a proper member of the Light.

“Yes, in all my years of living I have never seen something similar to what she is selling. Which is why it is absolutely vital that we continue our friendly relationship. We cannot afford to alienate her like the League has. If she continues to amass more knowledge from other universes, it will only prove to aid us. Which is why I propose that we ban absolutely any and all conflicts or plans from involving her” Savage spoke, as the others all went silent.

“Agreed. We cannot involve her. She has spoken about being neutral, but with the hero’s sense of justice, I believe they will alienate her by themselves. So, we just have to make sure not to piss her off in any form. And perhaps continue to trade her rare books that cannot be found anywhere else” Lex Luthor responded, agreeing with what Savage had said.

“And how do we stop any other villains from being fools and making her mad?” Queen Bee questioned.

“It’s not every villain that we have to stop. But she did say that she does not like Joker, so perhaps we can keep him aw-” “Why don’t we just direct him to her?” Lex was cut off as Black Adam spoke up.

“Hmm? What do mean?”

“I mean that if we direct Joker to her, she’ll wipe him off the planet. Which is…frankly a good thing. He’s too villainous for my tastes, and I am a part of an organization that wants to control the world” Black Adam responded to Lex’s question, the others looking interested at the prospect.

“Joker is a wild card that tends to be incredibly irritating…perhaps that is a good idea” Ra’s whispered, finding the idea to be appealing.

“Agreed. I believe we should get rid of Joker through this. And if her personality is anything like what I am expecting, she’ll actually be happy for the chance to get rid of the madman” Vandal Savage responded, nodding in agreement as the rest of the members all voiced their agreements.

Everybody hates the Joker. The guys’ jokes were terrible. He was also fucking crazy.

“Excellent. Well then, I believe that is the end of the deal for today” Savage said as they began to slowly but surely finish their meeting.

All the while, Black Adam was sitting in his office chair, looking down at a rather…smutty looking romance book. One thought was on his mind as he began to read it.

‘Gods…I might have a problem’

He soon began to giggle like a child as he continued to read the book.

As it turns out. Black Adam loved smutty romance books, who knew?

Wanda did.
