Wanda of Earth 616 had not expected…this out of “Let’s get started”. And “This” was in fact, meditation. A meditation technique that was unlike anything she had done before, that involved building her own mind, creating a sort of castle within her very mind.

It was weird.

On top of that, she had to follow after her Bookstore owner counterpart upstairs, stepping into another dimension that she had created that was specifically made for meditation and increasing the rate at which you develop and grow in the mind arts.

Wanda had called it “Occlumency”.

Wanda 616 didn’t really understand it. But what she did understand was that it would help her extensively, and allow her to better control her mind and emotions. It was specifically made to help keep a calm mind, and was also very good at helping block out the mental intrusions of others.

Like annoying mind readers that liked to pick around in others heads without their permission.

Wanda 616 knew a few mind readers that loved to do that, with some of them being on accident, so it couldn’t be their fault in this case. This art would help block that though, and from her bookstore counterparts words, it sounded like the art would also grow infinitely as long as she continued to train in it.

And the training was mostly through meditation, making it very easy to grow at increasing paces.

The best part about it was that her counterpart had allowed her to use the meditation dimension as much as she wishes, and for free at that. She was given permission to come whenever the store was open, and was free to use it whenever she wanted.

That meant that she could safely develop her mental strength. Wanda had also informed her that she would not train her any further until she had gotten a certain amount of skill in mind arts.

She needed a strong mind in order to properly control the chaos magic within her. And she needed the mind arts in order to do that. Occlumency was just one of them, that much Wanda 616 knew.

Her counterpart had told her that there were dozens of mind arts that she could learn, but Occlumency was the easiest one to learn by a long shot, and was by far the best place to start. As the others were more complex, and tended to need a somewhat stable mind in order to even start practicing them.

Once she got to those levels, she could learn the new mind arts. And these ones would be vastly more powerful, and would even strengthen her own mental powers, including the ability of getting telepathy and telekinesis according to Wanda.

That was a very appealing trait to Wanda 616, which made her more willing to learn and meditate for hours on end to master this enough for Wanda to train her more.

When asked what that training would even entail, Wanda 616 had gotten an interesting answer.

[Flashback]

“You’re asking what the training after this will be?” Wanda asked, raising an eyebrow as she looked at her 616 counterpart, sipping on her tea as she sat behind her counter.

She had set up a little screen so that she could talk to Wanda 616 while she was upstairs, and still run her own shop downstairs. At the same time, she had given one to Pietro as well, who had returned back to their universe after Wanda 616 had given him the go ahead.

It was closer to forcing him out of the door so she could learn.

“I am. You haven’t really told me anything beyond training my mind arts. I’d like to at least have some sort of an idea before we do anything more. So that I can maybe prepare better for it” Wanda 616 responded, hoping that she could at least get some sort of clue.

“Hmm, I suppose that makes sense. But the training after this is not really something I can just explain, it has to be felt. The power that you have is not trained in a traditional sense. The only reason that you are doing the training that you are now, is because your mind has to be more stable to actually even begin training and practicing your power” Wanda explained, as Wanda 616 slowly nodded in understanding.

“But don’t worry, it won’t be anything that you can’t do. You just need to master your mind arts to a certain extent, and then we can talk more in detail about your future training” Wanda said, as Wanda 616 nodded, deciding to drop the subject as it was clear that Wanda would not explain more than she already had.

Whatever the training was, it would not be easy, that much Wanda 616 could sense.

It would certainly be harder than meditating for 8 hours a day.

The meditation training had proven to be easy for her. And by the time she had come by 3 days in a row, the woman was rapidly progressing through her first part of training.

During those three days, Wanda had not really gotten any new guests or anything. Luffy had come by again, wanting some more of her delicious food, particularly the meat. While Ainz had come by for the first time in quite a while, wanting some of her new magic books.

He had been away for a while as he was dealing with some things back in his own world, like trying to conquer Kingdoms, manipulating a massive amount of humans, and a host of other things that would require all of his attention, and all of his time.

Besides Ainz, Goku had come back again, wanting to spar some more with Milim. The girl had been a little uninterested in sparring with the man, especially after her fight with Saitama. She had grown a lot in a short amount of time, and Goku wouldn’t really do much for her at this point.

But she did it anyway, as she felt a little bad for him. That and she imagined that the zenkai boost a beating from her would give, could be pretty damn good.

Her power had been rapidly increasing over the time that had passed since the spar with Saitama. Mostly because she had been training heavily in aura, ki, chakra, and the other powerful energies that her mama had given her.

And she was gaining rapid bursts of power thanks to that.

She had actually met Wanda 616 during this time, alongside Naruto, which had proven…interesting.

[Flashback]

“So you’re mama’s younger counterpart? You’re…not nearly as strong as she is” Milim said bluntly, looking at the younger version of her mama. She noticed that beyond being younger and weaker, she was also less beautiful.

“Man, even in another universe mama is super powerful!” Naruto exclaimed as he felt her power, unlike with his mother, as he was softly stroking Teekl who purred against him.

He was her favorite human.

Wanda 616 was staring at them in genuine surprise, not expecting for her counterpart to have children. But she supposed since she was older, that it made sense. That and they weren’t actually her biological children, so that made sense as well.

Especially considering Wanda had already told her that she was lesbian, and made that pretty clear to her.

She was also surprised that they could sense her power, but that also made sense. If anyone could feel her power with such ease, it was the children of the stronger version of herself.

“Naruto, Milim, don’t get into her personal space. And do not be rude” Wanda warned, as the two paled slightly upon hearing her admonishing tone, stepping back instantly in order to not get in trouble with their mama.

She was scary when they got in trouble.

Really really scary.

“Sorry about them, it’s not everyday that a counterpart of mine comes in. Well…any day really, you are the first” Wanda said with a small apologetic smile on her face.

“It’s alright” Wanda 616 waved her off, inwardly wondering just how many other secrets the woman in front of her truly had.

She hoped to find out at least a few.

Beyond that, nothing had happened over this time. Besides Wanda 616 just training and meditating for the three days.

But finally, after meditating pretty much 24/7 for three days straight, she had begun to make her mind stronger, getting closer and closer to the level required for her to begin her next phase.

And as Wanda felt her counterpart’s mind grow, she smiled, one thought on her mind.

‘Looks like it will soon be time for some chaos magic training!’
