The exams themselves had been an interesting sight for Wanda, who was watching the entire thing on the tv with Milim. It wasn’t just the exams with Naruto that they were watching, but the other people taking it as well, like Gaara, Karin, and even the hidden Orochimaru.

Upon seeing Orochimaru’s fake form, Milim couldn’t help but comment “That guy is super creepy! And is he hiding under a fake face?” Milim asked, noticing the corruptive nature of Orochimaru, the malice that was hidden underneath fake skin.

“Mmhmm, that is Orochimaru of the Sannin, a rather vile little thing that likes to experiment on children and the innocent. He’s a man that will be causing a lot of issues for Naruto if I do not step in” Wanda responded, as Milim looked at her.

“Are you going to step in, Mama? Naruto isn’t strong enough to fight that guy yet” Milim asked. She could tell that in comparison to other beings in this world, Orochimaru was much stronger than most, likely one of the strongest men in the entire world.

“Mmhmm, I will. It’s better with him gone than alive. But only after a certain point, as Orochimaru is important to the development of this world. But I won’t allow him to harm your little brother, so don’t worry about that” Wanda responded.

“I’m not worried about him!” Milim said with an embarrassed look on her face. She didn’t even realize that she was a little worried about her new little brother that she had been growing closer to over the past few days.

“Sure you’re not~” Wanda teased with a smirk as Milim pouted at her Mama but didn’t deny what she had said. She initially didn’t want Naruto to be her brother, but the more she interacted with the boy, the more she liked him.

Watching the screen together, Milim munched on some popcorn as they watched Gaara, the boy in question was quite brutal in battle, and was openly killing other participants. Which was something that was natural, but the way he did it was anything but.

“Whoa, that guys pretty mean huh?” Milim asked, pointing at Gaara.

“Only because of his circumstances, love. He is like Naruto, in the fact that he is host to a tailed beast like Naruto, with him being the host to the one tailed beast, Shikoku” Wanda responded with a shake of her head, as Milim hummed.

“So are you going to help him too, Mama?” Milim asked.

“I will, yes. All I need to do is fix up the nasty little seal that has been put on him, and then he will naturally heal on his own, with the help of his siblings” Wanda responded with a nod, as they both turned back to the screen.

Watching the screen, Wanda frowned as she noticed the way that Karin’s teammates were treating her, as if she was nothing more than a walking healer. As by biting her, they could heal themselves through her unique chakra. It was a trait that an Uzumaki could have, and Karin had it.

“Hmm, seems I’ll be helping that child out as well” Wanda muttered, snapping her finger as a small string like beam of light shot out towards the screen and into Karin. It was a simple blessing that would keep her safe from the others, and would allow her to get away from the eventual invasion safely. It will even help protect her from Orochimaru who would have taken her in had it gone similarly to canon.

Wanda didn’t like seeing innocent children hurting.

“Shinobi aren’t really nice, are they?” Milim questioned upon noticing the way a lot of the shinobi are treating one another. Especially how they treated some of the weaker members and the women.

“No, no they are not. Konoha is probably the nicest of the shinobi villages, which is certainly not the best compliment in a world like this one” Wanda responded, as Konoha being the nicest wasn’t really saying much.

The two continued to watch the various battles that were going down in the forest of death. They noticed that Orochimaru was getting closer and closer to where Team 7 was, meaning that he would soon attack Sasuke so that he could place the nasty cursed mark on him.

A mark that would cause some huge problems down the line, both for Naruto, Sasuke, and for Konoha as a whole.

And it was because of this, that Wanda placed a small blessing on Sasuke, a simple but effective one. It would cause for the mark to naturally be destroyed once he used it once, meaning that it would basically be gone by the time the next part of the Chunin exams starts.

It would also make it so that he cannot be marked again afterwards, making him immune to it. She planned on doing it to Anko as well in the future, but she would need to speak with the woman first, as getting rid of the cursed mark involved the soul itself.

For now they continued to watch as Naruto and the group traveled through the forest, the events that followed were pretty similar to canon, with the group arguing and talking a lot. They get lost and others attempt to act like Naruto when he went to the bathroom, only for them to get beaten up by Sasuke.

But things began to change differently when Orochimaru came around. As while Sasuke and Sakura still failed to fight back much against the man, Naruto was able to do a lot more than normal. He had defeated the snake that Orochimaru sent after him quite quickly.

It was when he fought against Orochimaru that things changed. He fought with a lot more skill than before, masterfully controlling his shadow clones to fight against the man, using sealing techniques and thousands of clones at the same time.

He had studied the Sannin, and had heard about Orochimaru, so he knew just how immensely dangerous the man in front of him was. So, he went all out from the start, using the rasengan technique he had been learning from Wanda, and all sorts of jutsu.

He was taking full advantage of the Kage level chakra that he had, and the Uzumaki techniques that he had been learning, like the Adamantine chains, chains that had been able to give Naruto an opening where he then landed a few hits against Orochimaru.

Wanda watched with baited breath as her son fought back against Orochimaru with all his might, using all the skill and technique he had been learning with her. His improved physique allowed him to keep up with Orochimaru better and better than what was possible before.

But the difference between them was still a chasm, just a slightly smaller one. And it was thanks to this, that Naruto was able to fight back for as long as he had. But eventually, he began to get hit more and more, before Orochimaru managed to land one strong blow, knocking him down and unconscious.

But not before he had several cuts and bruises on his body, as Wanda frowned listening to the man through the screen.

“Well done Naruto-kun~ If you had been a bit different, then I certainly would have chosen you as my next host, too bad you aren’t an Uchiha~” Orochimaru said with a grin on his face, a creepy one as he gazed at the unconscious form of Naruto, half tempted to mark him before deciding against it.

Wanda frowned at the man’s words, but didn’t make a move as she knew that he couldn’t touch Naruto. Not with Danzo and Hiruzen protecting him, and not with the Akatsuki.

Speaking of Danzo and his little Root, Wanda knew that she would need to take care of that little bug soon, as he would be the only real threat to Naruto while she was in the village. She decided she would wipe him out once Tsunade was taken in as the 5th Hokage, as she would be far easier to work with than Hiruzen ever would be.

Continuing to watch the exams, Wanda leaned back on her couch as she took a bite of the popcorn, deciding to just enjoy this as Milim was, knowing that the rest of the event would be going similar to canon again. Although she had noticed that Naruto was suspicious of Kabuto which was certainly a good thing.

With all that in mind, and her watching continuing, Wanda let out a sigh, one thought on her mind.

‘…Let’s see how the rest of this goes’
