[3rd POV]

As it turns out, having villains consistently visiting the shop would eventually bring some strife. Like the fact that a villain constantly showing up in a singular city, would lead to the heroes of the planet looking into it.

Which is what led to her current situation, an annoying one at that.

A situation that involved her glaring in annoyance at a hero, and defending a villain. A situation that started only a few minutes ago.

[A few minutes ago]

It had been a couple of days since the last villain had visited, and Wanda was…a bit bored to be honest. She had been taking regular trips out into other cities in the DC universe, wishing to explore some cities she had never seen before.

But, she found that Gotham and Metropolis were still the most interesting, with Central City being a close third to Metropolis. But the villains there weren’t that impressive or anything, mostly because the Flash was so fast that none of them could properly commit any sort of crimes.

Only fellow speedsters were much of a threat to him, when it came to that city.

And Green Arrows city was…basically just a wannabe Gotham, if that. So besides exploring a little bit around the place, she just left not really that interested in seeing more.

But finally, after a couple of days since the last visit from a villain, in walked a rather interesting customer for her to have. A first, and another person related to the Light. This time it was Black Adam.

“Is this the bookstore owned by Wanda Maximoff?” Black Adam questioned, as he walked in and locked eyes with her.

“It is. And I am assuming that Vandal Savage and the others that are a part of that interesting little organization recommended this place to you?” Wanda asked, which Adam nodded to.

Truthfully Wanda didn’t mind the recommendation, as it gave her some very interesting customers. And it did make things less boring, with how the normal customers had been as of recent.

“Whoa he’s tall!” Naruto’s voice echoed from besides her as he walked into the area, an interested gleam in his eyes as he stared at the man blessed by Gods.

“Naruto? Where’s your sister?” Wanda asked, as Naruto pouted at the question.

“She said that the store has been “boring” recently, so she’s playing in the animal dimension again, and I guess Miss Ivy is going to show her the plant dimension later too” Naruto responded, causing Wanda to raise an eyebrow.

“And why are you not up there with them then, hon?” Wanda asked, as Adam looked between them with interest, before deciding to browse as this was evidently not a conversation for him to be a part of.

“Becuase I felt bad leaving you down here alone. We’ve been upstairs so much that we don’t really see you while you’re working. All because the shop is being kinda boring right now” Naruto responded with an apologetic look on his face.

Wanda just smiled softly in response.

“It’s alright honey, I enjo-” Wanda paused as her head snapped to the door, a scowl forming on her face as the door was ripped open, and instantly members of the Justice League flooded in.

More specifically, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Shazam, and Captain Atom.

“Don’t move a muscle, Adam!” Shazam yelled, as the man looked at them with wide eyes, alarmed that they had even noticed him coming here.

At the same time, Captain Atom was looking at Wanda and Naruto with a scowl on his face, marching over to them “You two are coming with us! It’s about damn time we get some answers from you!” He said, as he reached out a gripped Naruto’s arm which caused him to grunt in pain.

And that…was a mistake on his part.

As in the next second, a deep flash of anger traveled through Wanda. And with one flex of her power, he was slammed back against the wall, screams echoing from his throat as a barrier formed in front of Adam, blocking the blow from Shazam. The rest of the League members soon were forced to their knees as she blocked their powers.

And that was how she got into her current situation. A scowling Wanda staring at the heroes, a slightly angered Naruto glaring at them as he rubbed his arm that had just been healed, and a frowning Adam looking at them.

“What do you think you are doing? What gives you the right to touch my son in such a manner? What gives you the right to barge into MY store and attack one of my customers?” Wanda asked, barely holding back the infinite fury that was simmering at the surface.

Just itching to wipe Captain Atom from existence. To break his mind and soul and make him go through pain nobody could even begin to imagine. To make him pay for daring to hurt HER son right in front of her, in her own store.

“H-He’s a villain, ma’am! You-I don’t know what you did, but you have to let us-” “I do not have to let you do anything, BOY! I am the owner of this shop! And my rules are law! And within this store, there is no fighting! No matter who it is! This is a neutral place, and will be treated as such! You are lucky I have not killed that ignorant little worm for daring to touch my son!” Wanda glared, her fury beginning to show as Captain Atom screamed in pain, every bone in his body beginning to shatter underneath her power.

“And you!” Wanda said, staring at Captain Atom, before continuing.

“You are banned from this store for life! Not only that, but I curse you! From now on, you shall find no love, no family, and no true connections beyond friendship! I hope you enjoy being alone for the rest of your miserable little life” Wanda said, flicking her wrist as he was flung out of her shop in a burst of speed.

Back in the DC universe, he slammed into the nearest wall, groaning in pain, still weakened from her power as he felt like a normal human being launched into a wall at speeds strong enough to kill a normal person.

“W-Who the hell are you?” Flash asked, realizing that the warnings they had been given were right, that they shouldn’t have come here.

But when they got news that Black Adam was in the city, that he was perfectly open to getting captured and imprisoned, they couldn’t stop themselves and came after him. Not even realizing that they had followed him into the same bookstore that they were warned against until it was too late.

And now they would pay the price, it seems.

“I am Wanda Maximoff, owner of this bookstore, and mother of two children, one of which that foolish little man harmed. I am also not someone you should fuck with, Allen” Wanda said coldly, as the man’s eyes widened in alarm, realizing she knew his identity.

“Same with you, Diana, Kent, Batson” Wanda added, glancing at them, making sure only they could hear these words, as outing their secret identities was a bit much. Captain Atom she would be more willing to do that to, though.

“B-But why let him shop here? He is a villain! He has killed people, innocent people!” Diana asked, angered at this woman.

“So what? He killed some people, I have too, far more than he has. Far more than any villain you have ever faced has” Wanda responded without a care, as the others looked at her with alarm.

“Don’t look at me like that, heroes. I did not go out of my way to do it or anything, it was a mistake, a foolish, horrible mistake, but still a mistake that led to the deaths of an entire species” Wanda added, knowing that in actuality she had only killed most of them.

And that was only her life as Wanda in 616, that wasn’t even counting all her other lives which had also killed.

“H-How many? How many did you kill?” Superman asked, finding his voice as she looked at him.

“More than the population of entire universes” Wanda responded, as the group paled in fear, realizing that the woman had killed more people than they could even comprehend.

“H-how? How is that even possible!” Billy asked.

“I am strong, child. Far stronger than any of you. And with power, comes the ability to make mistakes far worse than what any normal person can make. And that is what mine did, I did something that wiped a species from the entire multiverse, not just a single universe” Wanda responded, knowing this would just make them fear her more than anything.

It would also draw their attention even more, but it didn’t matter. Nothing they did, no matter how hard they tried, would do anything to her, so it didn’t make a difference.

“No more questions, heroes. I have given you the right to live and remain without a curse, cherish that. You all may return in a week as long as you do not break my rules. But until then, you are momentarily banned. Now get the hell out” Wanda ordered, as she launched them from the shop, the door slamming with a loud bang.

Leaving her, Naruto, and Adam in the shop once more.

Wanda could only sigh at the situation that had just gone down, one thought on her mind as she felt her son hugging her to calm her down.

‘…Gods that was…irritating’
