[3rd POV]

Walking around Vale, Wanda and Raven walked side by side. Their sides almost touched as Raven had an ice cream cone in her hand, licking it absentmindedly as she enjoyed the unique flavor that she had gotten. Which was almost like an Orange Creamsicle but with an odd berry only found in this world.

It is quite good.

While Wanda was having a cheesecake flavored one, aka the superior flavor of ice cream. Cheesecake was one of her favorite desserts, hence the flavor.

“The species in this world are interesting” Raven commented, as she noticed a rabbit Faunus walk past her.

“Hmm? Why do you say that?” Wanda asked, already knowing about the Faunus and their little secrets, so she was curious to hear what Raven thought of them.

“They are more in tune with aura and magic than the others of this world, the normal humans. Almost like they were initially able to use magic but it was ripped from them” Raven responded, as Wanda smiled.

This was actually what had happened long ago, once magic had begun to die in this world. They had been able to utilize it better than any normal human, and were in fact, so in tune with magic that they had the potential to rise to great power.

But they lost it all. And now they only had aura. Aura that tended to be stronger than that of their human counterparts, by quite a bit in most cases. Which is why the Faunus tended to be stronger huntsmen and huntresses than most.

“That is exactly what happened, Raven. A long long time ago, they had been able to use magic, to the point that they were superior to that of humans in the art. But, at one point they had lost it all, after some…events that had gone down. While in the case of aura, they do have stronger aura on average, and in general are stronger than humans. If they had more numbers, then they would undoubtedly be able to defeat the other human kingdoms” Wanda responded, knowing that if the Faunus had numbers similar to Atlas or Vale, then they would be able to crush the others.

They were simply superior on average, and the only reason they are weaker at the moment is because there are far more humans than Faunus.

“…And how does nobody know about this? Surely the Faunus people would look into their own history” Raven asked, curious.

“It was wiped from history by a couple of manipulative immortals that didn’t want that information to spread. That, and any information that they could find, was just written off as myth and legend, and not truth. Magic is nothing more than a joke here, not taken seriously, not taken as if it was real. I’m sure if they knew it was real, then they’d really begin to research their own history” Wanda responded, as Ozpin and Salem were behind the cover up.

They were manipulative old people that used those around them to get their way. Salem did it through force and aggressive measures, while Ozpin did it subtly and in a much more manipulative manner.

Basically they were both awful, Salem more so. But Opzin was also bad thanks to his tendency to use children to fight against Salem.

“So even in this world the world is ran by manipulative individuals that do not deserve the power they have” Raven said with a disappointed sigh, as she finished the last bit of her ice cream, tossing the small bit of the cone into a nearby trash can, with Wanda finishing her own cone.

“Sadly that is a constant in a lot of universes. But, I do believe that this world has a lot of potential for growth in the future. Especially thanks to Ruby and her team. They are likely going to be the ones to finally bring light to the manipulations of those in power” Wanda responded.

“Good. A world as interesting as this one does not deserve to be manipulated in such a way” Raven said, pleased with this. That there were heroes even in this world, albeit in a different form.

“Agreed. Which is why I’ve given Ruby a bit of help so she can learn more about the history of this world, and of her own power” Wanda responded with a smile, knowing that Ruby was off in Beacon reading through the book right now.

“I thought you were neutral?” Raven asked.

“Eh, not really. I do what I want, when I want it. I’m more Chaotic Neutral than anything. I haven’t really had the chance to show how neutral I am, as most villains tend to be really annoying to deal with, and like to try and antagonize me” Wanda responded with a shrug, as again, this was true.

She had yet to meet a villain that hasn’t tried something against her at least once. Except for Orochimaru, and he didn’t really count at this point due to his reform.

“So if Lex Luthor was to come into your store you wouldn’t do anything to him?” Raven asked, interested in the response.

“Yep, I’d let most villains into my shop as long as they do not cause me problems. There are of course exceptions, as there are villains that even I won’t just ignore. Like the Joker, and of course your father is another of those I wouldn’t allow anywhere near my store” Wanda responded with a nod, causing Raven to smile slightly, happy to know that Wanda wouldn’t accept her father at all.

“And what if other heroes enter the shop when the villains are there?” Raven asked, as she hadn’t really thought of what that would do, and what the reactions would be.

“I’d take care of it. My store is a neutral place, so conflict on either side is not permitted. If they wanted to fight they’d have to do it back in their world, not in my store” Wanda informed, as Raven nodded, as it made sense.

After answering that question, the two stopped in front of a store. Inside of the store was all sorts of stuffed animals and souvenirs, and once she glanced at Raven, Wanda smiled seeing the woman looking interested.

“Want to buy something?” Wanda asked, as Raven blinked and shook her head.

“A-Ah no, you have already paid for enough today” Raven responded with a shake of her head, not wanting to be a burden or anything.

“It’s not a problem, love. I’ve got more than enough money, and can just make more if I really want to. Now c’mon, let’s find you something to bring home” Wanda said, grabbing Raven’s hand and pulling her into the store.

The dark haired woman could only blush slightly as she held Wanda’s hand in her own, feeling the warmth of the woman that changed her life so very much.

Later, after buying Raven a few souvenirs from the shop, including a cute plushie for the woman, the two had returned back to the shop, with a few sweets for the kids to have once they finished their training for the day.

Standing in the middle of the shop after returning, Wanda turned to Raven “Did you have fun?” Wanda asked, as Raven looked at her and gave her a small smile, nodding.

“I did. It was…far more enjoyable than I was expecting. Thank you” Raven responded, biting her lip slightly as she moved forward and pressed a kiss against Wanda’s cheek, causing Wanda to blink in surprise before Raven ran off.

Watching her run off, Wanda giggled softly when she saw the cute blush on the woman’s cheeks.

‘How cute!~’ Wanda thought with a pleased smile, happy with the outing with Raven that was almost certainly a date.

A date that she hoped would be only the first of many.

A couple of days had passed since the “Not Date” with Raven, and the woman had been reacting about as Wanda had expected. Which was basically a lot of blushing and embarrassed looks whenever Wanda was near her. Which confused Naruto and Milim, and made Ivy tease Raven whenever she could.

Beyond that, the last two days had been rather slow, slower than usual. But finally, something happened today, something that Wanda had been waiting for.

Sitting behind her counter, Wanda was reading a book, sipping on her morning brew of coffee, only to stop when she felt someone approaching the door to her shop, and looked up.

A moment later, the door slammed open and a panting Ruby ran inside, followed by a confused and worried team.

“Is everything in this book true!?” Ruby yelled, as she reappeared in front of the counter with a desperate look on her face, causing Wanda to smile, and respond.

“It is”

And as she was responding to Ruby, Wanda watched her expression morph into a mixture of glee and even more intense desperation. And as she watched Ruby look at her with hope, Wanda had only one thought on her mind.

‘This’ll certainly be a long chat’
