[3rd POV]

Walking through the front door of her bookstore, Wanda watched as Milim reacted to the inside of her shop. The girls eyes widening slightly upon realizing that it was a lot larger on the inside than it looked on the outside. As the outside was just a simple door with the name of the shop above said door.

It was unassuming, and yet Milim could sense that it was anything but normal. She couldn’t even tell how big the shop is, only that it was immensely protected, and unlike anything she had seen in all her years of living.

“Cool huh? This is my shop, the place where I work everyday, and where I greet customers from all sorts of places, including other universes! It’s also the way I can travel to other universes, and gain new powers, like this one” Wanda said, as she manipulated chakra within her hands, causing Milim to look at it with interest.

It felt somewhat similar and yet different from the energies she had seen before, it was…more connected to nature, almost a stronger feeling, and yet not. Had she been a true dragon, then she would have felt VERY in tune with it, as True Dragons were connected to nature on a more personal level thanks to their existence.

“Wow! This place is awesome Mama! When you told me you ran a bookstore, I thought it was going to be boring! But this place is huge! And what’s all those weird glowy bits that are surrounding the place?” Milim asked, zooming around the shop, looking at everything she could.

“I’m glad you think so. And those glowy bits are wards. They’re made in order to protect my shop against anyone who tries to harm anyone inside of it, or damage anything within the shop itself. And the building is even larger than this, this is just the shop portion of it” Wanda said with a smile, pleased that her daughter seemingly found the place to be so interesting.

It would have been awkward if she came to the shop to live there, and didn’t even like it.

“But how come you need wards, Mama? Aren’t you super strong already? Who could do anything in your shop with you around?” Milim asked. It was a good question, as Wanda could stop anyone from attacking with just a glance, but she made the wards in order to make it automatic.

“I can do that, true. But this just makes it easier on me. The wards aren’t just for protecting my customers, and stopping others from harming anyone or anything in the shop, but also for simple things. Like a healing ward that would automatically heal anyone who enters to tip top shape. Or a regeneration ward that will boost the energy regeneration of anyone who enters. There’s hundreds of other wards all over the shop in order to improve upon it. Both in safety and in comfort” Wanda explained, as Milim nodded slowly, beginning to understand what her Mama was saying.

“So basically…you’re lazy” Milim said with a nod, as Wanda blinked several times at her daughter’s response.

“Oh? I’m lazy? Alright then, I’ll show you lazy!” Wanda exclaimed, and before Milim could even react, Wanda was on her…tickling her.

The half dragon couldn’t even react as she began to loudly giggle, squealing as she tried to get away from her Mama, who grinned widely as she teased her new daughter.

“Hahahaha Mama stahp it!” Milim squealed, giggling loudly as her laughs echoed through the shop. Wanda let out her own laughs as Milim continued to laugh, before eventually, Wanda began to pull back, letting Milim catch her breath as Wanda watched with amusement in her eyes.

“Meanie” Milim said with a pout, as she began to catch her breath, pants echoing from her lips as she glared at her new Mama.

Wanda just softly smiled at her daughter, as she patted her head “Sorry Milim, but that’s what you get for saying your Mama is lazy” Wanda said, as Milim huffed, but leaned into the warmth of Wanda’s hand either way.

“Sorry Mama” Milim replied, deciding to concede with this, as she didn’t want more tickles from Wanda. She couldn’t stop her if she wanted to.

“It’s alright, Milim, I’m just teasing you. Now, do you want to go see more of your new home?” Wanda asked the pink haired girl, who nodded excitedly in response as she shot to her feet from the ground where she had been laying moments earlier.

“C’mon then, it’s time to see your new home!”

After leaving the bookstore into the personal space of Wanda, the woman had begun to show Milim around the large “building”. She showed her the kitchen where she had been testing out a ton of new treats, with the girl insisting on trying one of everything.

It was in the kitchen that Milim had found the absolute treasure that was her Mama’s cooking. And it was there that she decided that she would only be eating meals made by her Mama from now on.

After the kitchen, Wanda showed her the various dimensions that she had created. The animal dimensions, the plant dimensions, and the dozens of other dimensions had all been shown to Milim.

The girl had seemingly enjoyed the animal dimensions the most, especially when she got to play with all sorts of unique and interesting animals. The mythical animal dimension had a TON of very powerful animals that Milim found to be really cool. As each and every animal in that particular dimension, were strong enough to destroy continents, with the peak of them being able to destroy worlds.

They were pretty cool, even by Wanda’s standards.

She had also shown the girl the dimension she had created specially for her, doing it from afar while they were walking through the other dimensions. This new dimension was one for training and would allow Milim to go all out without fear of causing any harm to anyone else, or destroying anything important.

Milim was very happy that she had a personal playground to mess around in.

Milim was even happier once Wanda had shown her the main apartment where they lived. Showing Milim the theater, the basketball court, and all the other rooms. She had also shown the girl the rooms of Raven and Ivy, explaining that they worked for her, but were both busy most of the time.

Like right now. Ivy was in one of the plant dimensions experimenting on some plants, trying to see what magic would do to local plant life, and if it could be used to heal Earth. While Raven was in another dimension, practicing her more demonic powers from her father. That particular power was better off trained alone, so she was in closed door practice at the moment.

Wanda let them do their thing, knowing they’d be back in a couple of days, where they’d then be able to meet Milim.

At the moment they were both sat on the couch, as Milim munched on a muffin.

“So, Milim, what do you want to do around here?” Wanda asked, wanting to know what Milim would help with. As she had already told Milim that she expected her to help around the shop.

“Hmm, um…ooh, how about I can be security! Or maybe I can help stock books?” Milim pondered, not really sure what she can do to help, as she had never worked before.

“How about instead of that, you be my little helper, hmm? So you can help me make the treats for others, help me put away books, and you can hang out with me when I’m talking with customers? You can even accompany me on my adventures to other universes, would you like that?” Wanda asked, as Milim’s eyes sparkled, as Wanda’s idea sounded a lot more appealing than hers.

“That’s way better than my idea! I’ll do that, Mama!” Milim replied, excited to help Wanda around the shop, and even more excited to travel to other interested universes with Wanda.

Wanda planned on doing more visits to other universes, and taking part in DC more, as she had finally stopped connecting her shop to more universes, as she was pleased with what she already had. She would get connected to what she currently had, before moving onto new universes.

She didn’t want to overwhelm herself, afterall.

With that in mind, and upon hearing what Milim had said, Wanda smiled, as she decided to turn on a movie to watch with her new daughter, Milim snuggling against her new Mama’s warmth, as Wanda let her, one thought on her mind as she did so.

‘…This was definitely the right decision’
