Chapter 120: Venom

“Jurassic Jesus was playing a joke on me, wasn’t he?” Jimmy asked himself, as he saw the giant scorpions rushing towards him. “A helpful joke, I’ll give him that.”

The fact of the matter was that if the scorpions had caught Jimmy while sick and a bit disoriented like he was a few minutes ago, they would’ve killed him in seconds. The entity healed him, filled him up with mana, and got him ready to defend himself against these odd creatures, minutes before he ran into them!

The entity had foreseen the future, and had taken steps to help Jimmy preserve his life. This was very obvious, however, Jimmy didn’t know if he had what it takes to survive this!

The scorpions ran half as fast as he could run under normal circumstances, except they were maintaining such high speeds across the rocky mountainside as well! He couldn’t run too fast above rocks without destroying his bare feet, or spraining his ankles, so he could not outrun them! He was stuck here, and he had to fight them head on!

“Piss off cocksuckers!” He shouted.

At the same time, he tossed the largest rock he could carry at them, and hit a couple of scorpions. He squashed them, so they weren’t as tough as he expected, they were overgrown bugs, after all, but he was still in trouble!

Four scorpions were just three meters away from him, or roughly ten feet, and by throwing a rock at them, he had caught the attention of the other scorpions! Almost all of them were heading his way, while two or three kept their course towards the bloodbath ahead.

Jimmy was in great panic! He had to start jumping, and running around, just to make some distance between him, and the scorpions, especially the four scorpions that almost got to him! He didn’t like it, his feet were already bleeding because of the sharp rocks he bashed his feet on, but it was the only solution he could think of.

“Where are your fucking hearts?!” He exclaimed, and winced every time his feet were on the ground. “Where!”

Afterwards, he tripped, and fell down. He suffered small cuts on his chest and elbows. He was also sure that he messed up his left knee on a rock that he landed on.

“Fuck!” He shouted in pain.

Shortly after, he felt one of the scorpions pinching him. Their claws were not too big, like that of a red crab’s, for example, but they were powerful nonetheless. The claws pinched his skin, and then the scorpion stabbed him with its venomous tail, very close to his anus! It missed the anus by an inch.

The fur clothes he was wearing protected him a little bit, but now he had an unholy amount of scorpion venom in his blood stream!

A second later, the three other scorpions caught up, and they stabbed him with their tails as well.

Jimmy was in a horrible situation. He could quite likely die, but to his luck, the venom wasn’t acting as fast as he anticipated. It was probably not meant for mammals such as himself, but for reptilians. It was venom nonetheless, he could feel it burning in his blood, so he might have an hour before the venom did some real, potentially fatal damage.

Pissed off that he couldn’t hear their hearts, so he could explode them, Jimmy was forced to take a more primal approach instead. The rest of the scorpions were close by, and if he got surrounded by all of them, he would die in minutes, so after his few yelping screams, he started punching, and kicking.

First, he kicked one scorpion’s face in, killing it on the spot. Then he grabbed another one by the tail, lifted it up, and smashed it against the third scorpion!

“Primal fists cocksuckers!” He shouted.

The fourth scorpion tried to stab him again, but in the blink of an eye, he grabbed it by the head, and ripped its head off!

“Haha!” He celebrated. “I’m going to cook you over a fire today!”

The other scorpions, ten of them, were a few meters away from catching up. He didn’t know if he could kill all of them bare handed, it was unlikely, especially if he got surrounded, but then, as he instinctively looked at the dead bodies of the scorpions he already killed, he got an idea.

Jimmy grabbed two of them by the tail, and started swinging them around. One giant scorpion on each hand.

These disgusting creatures may have the word ’giant’ in their name, but they were giants for scorpions. They were still cat-sized, and weighed fifteen or so kilos each, or thirty-three pounds each. He lifted them up no problem!

Jimmy then used the dead scorpions like very flexible clubs. He started whacking the approaching scorpions left and right, and when he ruined his ’clubs’ beyond repair, he grabbed two other dead scorpions, and used them as well.

One by one, one deadly bonk after the other, he killed all of them, and won the battle. In total, he killed fourteen of them. Three other scorpions hadn’t bothered him at all, and had the infinite wisdom to go feast on the bloodbath close to the river, instead of taking part in the second bloodiest battle of the day.

Jimmy won, but at a great cost! His feet were a mess, his left kneecap had a tiny crack on it, he had many other cuts on his body, and last but not least, half a pound of venom was coursing in his bloodstream!

Under this condition, he may not have much time to live, so he started acting quickly!

Jimmy listened to his own heartbeat, and discovered that the venom was given all the freedom in the world to act quickly. He didn’t have any anti-venom on him, he was sure that it wasn’t discovered yet in this horrible world, but he did have great control over his own blood. He didn’t need anti-venom.

With a bit of concentration, he used his blood to squeeze the venom out of his body, via through the wounds that he already had. Plenty of venom started pouring out of his feet. It was light blue in color, it smelled horrible, but he got rid of the venom very effectively. This was one of the benefits of playing around with warm bodies. He knew how to preserve them, heal them.

Jimmy then started to heal the rest of his body. His kneecap was fucked, but he healed it, and started moving his leg normally again. The various cuts were child’s play.

He healed his feet at last, and sighed in relief, “Thank you, Jurassic Jesus.”
