Chapter 186: Jimmy’s third body

Jimmy woke up the next morning, after the crack of dawn, and started walking down to the bunker without waking anyone up. He knew his ladies were tired, so he wanted to let them sleep in as long as they wanted.

Besides, his first task today didn’t concern them. He had to fulfill that favor he owed to one of the members of The Invisible, or Jurassic Jesus, as he liked to call him.

It took him forty minutes to get to the cloning room, and he found the said entity there, waiting menacingly. Well, he may look like a menace because he didn’t have a face, but he was otherwise very enthusiastic.

“Thank you for coming!” He said, “It’s nice having a friend I can depend on.”

“What, the elders didn’t have access to a cloner?” Jimmy cackled. “I’d say they’d be almost as dependable if they had one.”

“Well, I asked the elders if I can take over their bodies for a few years. They all said no.” He followed along, “The prior inhabitants of this bunker weren’t as cooperative either. They tried to shoot me.”

“Sounds about right,” Jimmy sighed, and then walked over to the control panel. “Elders wouldn’t want to give up on humping each other in the caves, and I don’t know how aliens feel about ghosts.”

Curious, Jimmy then added, “It surprises me you know what a bunker is, though.”

“I heard you call it a bunker,” He excused himself.

Jimmy didn’t press on the matter further, and started pressing buttons instead. He had some other plans in mind for the day, regarding productivity, so he wanted to get this favor that the entity asked of him as quickly as possible.

To get things started, he pressed the tenth letter-marked button on the line, at the top of the control panel. This button was otherwise known as XXX.

Afterwards he pressed number two, and materialized a clone of himself from the said container. The process was rather simple now that he had memorized the buttons well.

Container number two used to contain a simple dinosaur called Ornitholestes. It was a ten-kilogram species that could replace a Compy indefinitely, on account that it was about three times heavier compared to that species, but he got rid of it nonetheless. He could always lure in another Ornitholestes in here and clone it if he had to, assuming its species was common in the grasslands.

Besides, Jimmy wanted to store his DNA in a container that was closer to the control panel, and since he didn’t want to get rid of the alien gorilla at container number one, the Ornitholestes had to go. Its DNA was not worth more than his own, after all.

“Well, there is my clone,” Jimmy pointed at the container, “Do you want me to make any modifications? I can make you three times bigger, and three times smarter.”

“No need,” He answered, “I’m smart enough myself, and besides, do you want to have a super-strong, and super-smart version of yourself running around on the other side of the world, wondering why it was there?”

“Good point,” Jimmy nodded, “Okay then, give me a minute to lobotomize the guy.”

Jimmy then tapped into his clone’s brain, and went after the temporal lobes, wiping out every memory he could get his invisible fingers on. It took fifteen-percent of his mana, on account that his clone, or he himself were smart, but it was otherwise an easy task, because he didn’t perform any precise, surgical work, but just nuked all of the memories.

To keep the clone functional, he didn’t touch whatever would control his motor functions, such as breathing, walking, eating, and drinking. He wanted the clone to live more than a day, after all.

“He’s ready for you, JJ,” He said, “You can possess him now, or whatever the hell you plan on doing with him.”

Jurassic Jesus, or now known as JJ for short, did not say a thing. He disappeared, and slipped into the clone’s body, taking control.

Jimmy was concerned when his clone didn’t move around, even a minute after JJ disappeared, but then he remembered that the clone was asleep. It would appear that even an all powerful phantom being could not wake up a sleeping clone.

“Oh right,” He grunted, “XXMALO… Two.”

The clone, now possessed by JJ, opened his eyes. Jimmy waved at him past the glass, and then rushed to set the clone free.

He pressed SST to drain the liquid from the container, and as the clone adjusted to the change, coughing his lungs out, he then pressed SSZ to set the clone, or JJ, free.

A meter-wide hole opened up in the glass, and the glass ’door’ shot outwards, giving JJ all the space he needed to crawl through.

“Thank you,” JJ grunted, and stood up straight. “Did you… not bring me any clothes? I have to walk through your tribe, you know.”

“Oh…” He held his head, “I forgot. But don’t worry, my girlfriends have already seen me, erg, you naked? So they won’t mind, and they’ll search for some clothes.”

“That’s weird, man.” JJ followed along, “I may be you, but I’m not you, remember?”

“Looks like you’re already adapting to my sense of humor,” He chuckled. “Don’t worry. You won’t be going up there right now anyway, cause I need your help.”

“Help?” JJ parroted.

“Well, you’re not leaving the tribe right now, are you?” He followed along, “You waited for years until you found the right body to possess. You can’t be in a rush, so, how about you help me keep my tribe alive? I could use your mana to bake some Compy and Gorilla clones.”

“Mana…” JJ repeated, and then he pitched, “I must leave today, but I can spare half of my mana to help you.”

“Works for me,” He said, “You could use the practice too. I’m gonna show you how to use my magic properly. You don’t want to go out there unless you know how to blow a dinosaur’s heart up, or tame it, relatively.”

Jimmy felt weird talking to a clone of himself, because it was essentially like talking to himself in the mirror, except his reflections did not copy his movements. It was horrifying, really, but he had to live with it, and he took comfort in the fact that JJ wouldn’t turn this situation into a clone/evil-twin horror movie. He trusted him.
