Chapter 235: Four-armed, Platypus-faced Alien
Seeing any animal with four arms was absurd, and creepy.
Seeing a tall, reptilian alien with four arms, was all the more nerve-wracking!
Jimmy was ready to kill this abomination on the spot, and the floating Compy clone shared the same plan, as soon as it heard its master yelling!
The clone floated towards the alien at full speed, and used its big body to mow its target down! From the looks of it, despite the shrinking process and all the floating around, the clone still weighed several hundred kilograms!
The science behind it felt nearly impossible to comprehend, but Jimmy could not complain. The alien, even though intimidating, was knocked out cold, just like that!
The Compy clone did not stop there. It finally stopped floating, grounded itself, and ripped the alien’s head off!
Afterwards, it tossed the head towards Jimmy, as if it was boasting a trophy!
“Good job!” He exclaimed, “I do not have the energy to deal with these bastards right now, Compy. Thank you.”
“Why are you talking to a clone?” He heard a feminine voice sound out behind him.
It was Anna. She came back with Gaark, and judging from all the weapons that they had hung around the necks of the Compy clones that followed them, the two of them had a pretty good reason for being gone for around two hours!
They hit the jackpot, and it was evident in their faces! They eventually saw the dead alien on the ground, and yet even that wasn’t enough to ruin their mood.
“Looks like the owners are coming back,” Jimmy pointed out the obvious.
“Owners?” Gaark repeated, “Someone built this place?”
“Of course someone built it,” She smacked him behind the head, “What were you expecting? It didn’t fall from the sky.”
“Right…” Gaark grunted, “I can’t say that makes any more sense. How did they even figure out how to build this weird shit?”
“They had more time on their hands,” Jimmy added, “Forget about that. We could kill hundreds of them if we have to. The bunker is ours now, and no one is gonna be able to change that.”
Afterwards, he looked at the guns, and asked, “Are those things charged?”
“All of them… yeah…” Anna answered.
However, she got distracted, because at that moment, the Compy clone started flying around again. As an aspiring Paleontologist, she knew quite well that wingless dinosaurs weren’t supposed to fly, so her surprise was not the slightest bit unusual. It was expected.
“Looks like you’ve been busy?” She added, “I’ll have to assume you figured out new functions in the cloning room?”
“Nope,” He smiled, “I found a syringe… I have no clue how, but it can make dinosaurs fly, amongst other things. I’d say it makes humans fly too, but unless either of you want to risk growing a tail, I’d say we hold off using the syringe on humans.”
“Flying is overrated anyway,” She chuckled, “Should we get moving? We have plenty of guns, and I figured out how to charge them too, so we should be able to wipe out at least half of those bastards with the guns alone.”
“Guns definitely help,” He nodded, “Let’s get moving, then. I wanted to make my clone smaller, but he can fit through the staircase anyway, so I can shrink him on the way up.”
The team then headed towards the exit of the bunker without wasting another minute. They knew they had a great advantage over the enemy, and were eager to set up their advantage, in time, and hopefully a few hours before the enemy got too close.
There was so much going on right now, that they stopped caring about the alien that the overgrown Compy clone had just killed.
Odds were, there were several more of them up there in the landing zone, and Jimmy especially was aware of this, but he did not care.
The aliens may seem dangerous, and the platypus-like bill on their face was, in a word, horrifying, but still, he did not care.
Moments ago, he had been close enough to the alien to know that it had a heart. Their species could be killed within seconds, and at this point, in a confrontation, he was sure that he didn’t even need a lot of mana to kill a few of them.
With a thousand cavemen heading towards their doorstep in less than nine hours, a handful of aliens were the least of their problems!
Jimmy and the team went up the staircase, and on the way there, he made sure that the floating clone didn’t crush the life out of him. The clone could make mistakes, it could hit the ceiling by accident and snap Jimmy’s neck as a result. He was aware of that, so he commanded it to stop floating at some point.
It took a while for the Compy clone to shrink back down to its original size, and until that happened, he had the clone run, rather than float.
Once it shrunk back to its five-foot tall size, he gave it the green-light to float, as he knew that injuries would be nearly impossible after that point onwards.
The clone could still carry him, effortlessly. The technology, and science related to the floating was as confusing to him as ever, but at this point, he didn’t bother asking questions.
He held on to the syringe, as if it was the most important piece of technology in the world. At this moment, its value was beyond great, and he was well aware.
The item had shifted back to a syringe five minutes after he pulled it out of the clone, which he found interesting, but other than that, he put the syringe into use as soon as he made it out of the bunker, and out of the home cavern.
Several people followed after him, family, girlfriends, and random people included. They wanted to see what goodies Jimmy, Anna, and Gaark had brought out of the bunker.
Other than that, a lot of them cared to know if they were going to survive the night too. Unlike the elders, most of the people that were under sixty years old did in fact care if they were going to live or die!
