Chapter 167: Little Zik

“I appreciate that you came all the way down here,” He said, “I would do anything to avoid those damned stairs, I’ll tell you that for free, but, I don’t think you can help me in any way, Mika. The containers are doing most of the work anyway.”

Thinking it over some more, he added, “If you can wait for me for a few hours, you can help me guide the Compies up to our tribe, but other than that, I’m good.”

Mika seemed upset, and she had trouble hiding it. However, unlike a moment ago, she wasn’t upset over being yelled at, she already went past that. She was now upset because she thought that Jimmy was playing dumb, just to piss her off, so she had to get more assertive, as best as she could.

“Jimmy…” She stretched her words, “You saved my life, remember? You freed me. Maybe you don’t remember some traditions, or maybe you’re messing with me, but when a man saves a woman, the woman either becomes his servant, and satisfies all of the man’s needs, all of them, or, she pays her debt by saving his life. This is tradition.”

Jimmy was focused on the Compy he cloned, so he didn’t fully register what she said. It took him a while, but when it hit him, he was stunned.

“Oh…” His eyes widened, “So that’s why you jumped the Compy? You wanted to be even.”

“Yes,” She nodded. “But I failed, so…”

“I hate to break it to you, sweetheart, but maybe your tradition is outdated, left in the past?” He added, “Before I freed you, hunters used to save, and protect each other all the time. If they followed your master/slave tradition, there’d be so many new babies that our tribe’s family tree would be a circle. Obviously, there was some point in time between the seventeen years you were gone that our people figured out it was a bad idea to have personal slaves.”

“Oh,” She sighed.

Mika should be relieved, because Jimmy was basically freeing her from the debt she pressured herself with, however, she did not seem that relieved, or happy, for that matter.

She expressed, “I thought Anna sent me down here so we can get it over with… you know? The thing… the poky thing?”

“You mean sex?” He asked.

“Ehmm…” She gave a sharp nod, her cheeks red.

“Nah,” He chuckled, “Don’t worry. If Anna sent you down here, it means she trusts you for some reason. I can personally guarantee that she didn’t send you down here so you can ’serve’ me. I’m sure she’s oblivious of this tradition as much as I was.”

Mika got a little bit angrier. She came down here expecting to have sex, and her hormones had even prepared her for the occasion, and now, without a dick to play with, she didn’t know where to direct her emotions, so she was getting visibly upset!

Jimmy noticed this, but he didn’t care. Mika was a goddess amongst women, sure, her body was basically the best example of how beautiful a woman can get if her ’stats’ were maxed out, but he resisted her, for the sake of morality. Other tribesfolk might disagree with his stance, but he did not want to touch a woman that considered herself his slave.

It would be wrong, it would even be evil under some circumstances, and after his tussle with Terrence, he had a long look at himself, and promised himself to try and be less of a dick weed. He cared about his people, after all.

“Cheer up, champ,” He smiled, “If you actually like me, we’ll probably get together someday. Anna might try and kill you if you attempt to seduce me, but other than that, I don’t see why you can’t be another one of my girlfriends.”

“Another one…?” She repeated, “So Eni wasn’t kidding, huh? You really are having relations with three ladies. Seems a bit unfair for other men your age.”

“What men?” He asked, “Most of them were killed. Besides, only Anna is my age, but Nechi and Eni are older, so I’m giving the young guys plenty of space to get themselves a girlfriend. If they can’t, that’s their problem, but I’m not taking their potential mates away.”

“I can’t argue with that,” She finally smiled, “I haven’t really seen many men my age either.”

Afterwards, she said, “I’m glad we had this talk, Jimmy. I was really worried about satisfying you, but thanks for telling me that I don’t have to. It would feel weird to please a guy that’s eight winters younger than me.”

“Yeah,” He nodded, “You’re welcome.”

Jimmy was glad this conversation was over. Mika was hot, yes, but he wasn’t exactly desperate for ass, as he already had three beautiful girlfriends. The only thing he was desperate for right now, was making as many clones as he could before nightfall, as he wanted to stay ahead of his enemies.

Mika stalled him a little bit, but he got back on track. He made three more clones, tamed them, and had them wait in the tunnel behind the automated door. At least they couldn’t break anything out there if they chose to chimp out, and embrace their frantic nature.

When Jimmy made the fifth clone, he started to understand that this process wasn’t as efficient as he imagined. Half of his mana was gone, for one thing, because he had also spent plenty of it today to heal his knees, but other than that, it also took a lot of time to clone, and tame the five Compies!

It took him half an hour, because the containers needed a few minutes to make all the modifications he wanted. Paired with the fact that he had to tame each clone, the process started to look lengthy. He may be here for a while, possibly even past dusk!

“This is getting kinda boring,” Mika said, “Just let me go fight those three hundred bastards. I have Unique Magic, so I can kill a lot of them before…”

“Before what?” Jimmy asked, frantically, “Before you die? The point of sending Compies to war is so we don’t have to, Mika. We don’t need to die because some old Chief who hasn’t washed his balls for years, got greedy.”

Jimmy realized that he sounded rude just there, even though he didn’t intend to, so he added, “You’ve been trapped for seventeen years. Enjoy your life, because with me around, you don’t have to die anytime soon.”

“That’s sweet,” She smiled, and an innocent blush stretched on her face. “I wish the other men were as sweet, and as smart as you. They’re so boring… you have no idea!”

“They can be fun if you get to know them,” He said, “I used to think that Zik was a mean old grump, but not only is he sweet, he can be absolutely insane too! Unhinged! Have you seen Rampage? He tamed him by slicing through the throats of giants! Hell, he didn’t even tame Rampage, he just earned his respect. Absolute bad ass! Definitely a lot less boring than I pegged him to be.”

“Oh, I know him,” She giggled all of a sudden, “You know, I was together with him before I got locked up? He was younger than me back then, so I used to call him little Zik. He really hated it, but I thought it was cute.”

“Hahahaha!” He burst out laughing. “I gotta bring that up when I see him again. God, he’s gonna be so pissed!”

“I hope so,” She chuckled, “He was so awkward around me when I saw him up there, as if I was trying to win his aged booty back. He deserves to be embarrassed.”

Jimmy kept laughing his ass off. He couldn’t imagine Zik getting nervous over another woman. It sounded quite funny.

He had to express, “You’re good company, Mika. You’re much more fun when you’re not acting like an awkward, suicidal battering ram.”

“I don’t know what that means, but thanks, kid,” She smiled. “I hope this cloning nonsense looks less boring to you now, because it looks like we’re gonna be stuck here all night. I’m already getting bored out of my mind.”

“Yeah,” He nodded, “I never thought that playing God could be this boring. Guess it’ll be more fun once we see them eat our enemies alive?”
