Chapter 163: A Special Invitation?

The flight finally landed within the airparks of Belviere, outside the building, a huge bus was already waiting for the few employees of the company to take them to Rowen city where they would have to board a ship to the Rowena islands. However, beside the bus was a glistening black Range Rover parked at the side.

Throughout the flight, Celine had made sure to plague Tristan the best she could, one could say he didn’t get a single moment’s sleep, and Celine enjoyed every single second of endlessly torturing him, but he couldn’t complain, after all, he was the one to “insist” she stayed in his coach.

But the moment they stepped down from the plane, Tristan took his suit jacket from Kaleb wearing it immediately, a cold chilly wind blew against them all immediately they came down from the plane.

Celine didn’t expect Belviere to be this cold during this time of year, but it was said that the cold weather in the Rowena islands was even more worse, if the main city of Belviere was this cold, how cold would it be at the Rowena islands?

Celine hugged her hands to her body as she stepped down the plane, she was already wearing a jacket but it still barely did anything to alleviate the cold that was seeping into her skin, every single part of her body that was exposed to the wind got bitingly chilled.

Tristan was just about to head towards the car he’d arranged for, he was however still aware of her presence within the crowd of employees, he repeatedly willed himself not to turn around and look at her as he approached the car, however when Kaleb opened the back door for him to enter, his eyes had betrayed his mind as his gaze unconsciously fell on her, and it astonished him as his eyes was quick to land on her regardless of the crowd around her.

He noticed how she hugged her arms close to her body as she waited for her turn to climb the bus meant for the employees, he scowled in displeasure, he had allowed her stay in his coach throughout the night, couldn’t she just come ride with him in the car as well? Or was she waiting for him to send her a special invitation.

“Kaleb.” Tristan called.

“Yes president?”

“Go over there and…”

Tristan suddenly paused his words his brows drew together in a frown.

Ryan came over and draped a thick woolen jacket over Celine’s shoulders, and he even took her luggage from her helping her into the bus.

Seeing this scene Tristan’s eyes darkened, first she had been about to leave his coach and go to Ryan on the flight, now she must be so glad he wasn’t there to interrupt them, did she really like Ryan?

Tristan felt a burst of rage rising up his chest, a strong urge to rush over and forcefully pick her up away from Ryan slammed Into him, but before he could go over and do anything stupid, Tristan pulled his gaze away from them and sat down in the car.

He closed his eyes trying to calm his emotions then said, “Let’s go.”

Kaleb who had been awaiting his boss’s instructions to obviously go and invite Celine over was taken aback by Tristan’s sudden actions. What was it again this time?

This morning, as the flight landed, Kaleb was shocked to go and find Celine in Tristan’s coach, he had assumed things were already amicable between them, well, not until Tristan suddenly walked out of the plane ignoring her again. Kaleb felt like his boss was either becoming bipolar because he never used to behave this way with anyone before, or he was just forcefully trying to stay away from her even against his own desire.

Kaleb had seen evident rage and jealousy in his eyes before he angrily got into the car, he didn’t know what his boss’s internal troubles were, so of course he couldn’t interfere, so he just got into the front passenger seat and instructed the driver to drive ahead.

Celine who noticed Tristan’s car leaving the premises immediately shoved Ryan’s jacket into his hands giving him a glare. He was so audacious to keep approaching her as if he hadn’t done anything at all.

She grabbed her luggage from his hands, and walked away leaving him stunned, she had caught sight of Tristan looking in her direction in the distance, before Ryan suddenly came over, she would have pushed him away earlier but that would ruin her little game of trying to make Tristan jealous last night on the plane where she had used Ryan’s name, so she let it be for a while until Tristan left.

Celine didn’t feel bad that he was ignoring her presence again this morning, she had ample plans to make him submit to his feelings sooner or later. And making him jealous was one of them.

“Miss Celine, let me help you with your luggage,” David, an employee at the Grayson Corp who had come along on the trip offered nicely.

Celine got along quite well with David and he was a nice gentlemanly guy, she could see she wasn’t the first person he was helping with carrying luggage as he stood helping some of the ladies in the bus place their luggages on the top luggage compartment of the bus, so she smilingly gave hers to him as well with a,

“Thank you David.”

“It’s nothing Miss Celine, you can go take your seat.”

She found a random seat in the bus and prepared herself for the few hours ride journey.

Rowen city was a large town surrounded by the sea and endless water. Contrary to how Celine had believed, it wasn’t lacking to any of the modern day cities, the city was quite modern and sophisticated, and it had large buildings and big companies as well, with good roads, but most people could travel by water as short cuts to get to their destinations if the roads took a longer route.

The bus drove to Rowen city port where the ship that would take them to the Rowena islands was already waiting on deck.

Celine caught sight of Tristan as he alighted his car, his assistant Kaleb speaking seriously with a man before they both made towards the ship.

“Miss Celine, I’ve already taken your things inside the ship, you can go in and find your cabin, if you still need help with your luggage, please let me know.”

David came running to inform her. Celine smiled at him, he always had the habit of helping people, “Thanks a lot David.”

The young man blushed slightly at the radiant smile from a beautiful woman, he scratched the back of his head saying, “It’s nothing Miss Celine… Hey! Careful with that… Let me help!”

Celine shook her head at him as David immediately caught sight of another group of people carrying stuff, he ran off to help them as well.

Everyone was already boarding the ship, and all of them were mainly employees of the Grayson Corp, on the trip there were a total of twenty five people who came on the trip, most of them were an important members of some big department in the Grayson Corp, the remaining ones were assistants accompanying their superiors. All the people present on this trip were somehow involved in the new project, so everyone would be having their plates full the moment they got to the island and their project was approved by the island chief.

Celine climbed over to the deck amidst a few people, but the minute she did her legs suddenly slipped prompting her to lose her balance, she slowly began to fall backwards until she was suddenly caught, landing in the powerful grasp of a strong pair of arms steadying her fall.

She raised her eyes to meet a deep pair of bright hazel eyes.
