Chapter 73: Pathetic State

One thing Ian took pride in was his ability to gain people’s trusts. If Celine were to slowly trust him again…

He would certainly take his chance to get her in his bed, not just that, he would make her beg desperately for what she had done to him tonight.

“Celine…” Ian called lowering his voice his eyes looking earnest and pained, however when her eyes landed on him, there was nothing but a sharp glare of distaste in those blue orbs. He quickly realized she had told him not to call her by her name anymore.

He gulped nervously.

“Look, regardless of what happened to us in the past, you know I would never have done something so despicable to you right?”

Celine raised a brow quietly without saying anything.

“For five years I have hated myself, I go to sleep with pain right here.” Ian patted his chest, his eyes showing deep emotions.

“I regret everything I did to you, it was my fault and my loss. I had a beautiful glowing diamond but I mistook it for an ordinary stone. I think about you everyday for the past five years…in fact I searched for you when those rumors came out, I knew you would never do all those things you were accused of but I couldn’t find you anywhere. It deeply pained my heart to think you had to go through that because of me.”

There was a tear sliding down his face at this point. He was crying out of sheer brokenness of a man who deeply felt regret.

Celine crouched down in front of him, gazing into his eyes. “Do you really regret it?” She asked softly.

Through his tears, Ian peeked at her expression.

She was buying it? Good, this was really good. Women would always fall for an emotional man.

He clutched his heart and a light sob escaped.

“Y-yes.” His lips were shaking from the sheer weight of his emotions. “Now that you’re back…I wish for nothing else but to make amends between us. I know it will be hard to forgive me. We can…we can start as friends for now. I will be the best…best friend you will ever have.”

Celine slightly tilted her head to the left as she listened to him sob and beg.

“…you have absolutely no idea how much I’ve missed you. I remember what people say, they say you never know the worth of something until it’s lost and I only knew your worth after I lost you. You are always everything I’ve wanted in a woman and I could never see myself with anyone else but you. Now that you’re back, you can beat me, punish me, kill me if you want but I’ll never give up on you again.” Ian spoke fervently with sincerity and tears in his eyes.

He was wary at first but when it seemed to him that she was falling for his heartfelt words, he reached over and picked up her hand to hold in his own,

“I promise I won’t let what happened to us in the past repeat itself again.”

Celine smiled, a small lazy upward tilt of her lips.

Would you look at that, this jerk was doing what he was best at again, acting. And he even picked out some of the best lines from scripts he’d read in the past.

How dumb must he believe her to be if he actually thought she would fall for this?

A pity, Celine was no longer the gullible woman from the past. Her smile turned to a sinister smirk, one that made confusion shoot into Ian just when he thought she would want to hug him and cry out her words of forgiveness, what he felt was sharp pain afterwards…

“Aargh!!!!” The sound of bone snapping came along with a sharp wail as Celine didn’t hesitate to break the hand he had used to hold her own.

“Tsk tsk tsk, some things never change. Your little script doesn’t entice me, but do you know what does?”

“You crazy bitch!!!” Ian howled in pain his broken wrist gripped in his good hand as he rolled around on the floor as if that would stop the pain.

“The sound of your pain, is too entertaining to resist. Now, how about we do something to teach you a lesson for all those little girls falling victim to your lust.”

Through hazy eyes, the woman in front of him looked like the reincarnation of a demoness out to collect blood and she wouldn’t stop until she had shed every last drop. Dread and fear instantly trailed a frozen path down his spine.

“What… what do you want to do…?”

With a growing urgency, he began to push himself backward across the floor, trying to put distance between them. Yet with each retreat, she only advanced further, until she loomed above him like a tall, formidable goddess of retribution.

She raised her foot which was clad in glistening six inch heels and stomped it down on his crotch.

The wail that rang out seemed to bounce against the walls of the suite echoing back against itself since the sound couldn’t seep out. The voice louder and bone chilling but there was no remorse in Celine’s eyes as she twisted the force of her foot more and he made a sound like that of a pig about to be slaughtered before suddenly passing out.

She dusted her hands as she watched the tied up figure of Ian against a pillar in the suite with a gag over his mouth and his head slumped to the side. By the time he would regain consciousness there would be no one here to help him since his people had been warned to keep eyes out for any suspicious paparazzi but never disturb him.

Seeing him in such a pathetic state, Celine smiled in satisfaction. He deserved it not just for the things he did to her in the past, but for the innocent girls he trapped in his disgusting scheme.

Without regret, Celine turned and exited the suite, but before she could leave, her steps suddenly halted and her gaze was inevitably drawn to the bed.

A distant memory she had been trying to suppress suddenly surfaced in her mind…a memory from five years ago.

That night…the suite had seemed just like this one. That night…

Celine quickly shook her head and dismissed the unwanted thoughts, banging the door shut as she left, her heart truly feeling satisfied.

As for beloved little Lilian… Celine had a special surprise for her.
