Chapter 94: What If He Didn’t Love Someone Else?

Erica had people with connections in different parts of the city, information had been gathered into the palm of her hands in the blink of an eye, she did a thorough investigation and found out every single thing there was to know about the woman Celine Roberts. It was in that investigation that Erica found out that Celine was pregnant, she had found it amusing.

Interesting, a woman purposely falling pregnant to trap Tristan Grayson.

But then if she had truly meant to trap him with a pregnancy, why had she never tried to tell him about it. Usually, the sensible thing to do would be to run to the Blakewood family, immediately it was known that she was carrying their blood, that family would do anything to please her and she would live like a queen afterwards, but Celine hadn’t tried to do any of that.

She came to know about the abortion Celine had backed out of last minute through her sources carrying out the investigations, and then managed to have her people expertly infiltrate the hospital to find it’s records and take pictures of it. She paid people off where necessary and those shots had served their purpose in the grand plan of painting Celine as a nationwide slut which attracted mass hate.

Erica couldn’t help but think that destiny was on her side, and that could only mean one thing…she and Tristan were meant to be together, otherwise his phone wouldn’t have been around her the day Celine decided to call him and she wouldn’t have found out about everything.

That night, Erica had played the sultry voice of a lover as she spoke to the woman on the phone, and expertly she had given the woman hope by telling her she would speak to Tristan about her, and the shattered that hope. The rumors back then that she was Tristan’s fiancee had come in handy as well and the dumb, foolish woman had fallen for it.

In order to fully get rid of Celine before she would attempt to enter Tristan’s life, Erica had used all those tiny little bits and pieces her people had gathered, altered some images, used technology experts to create realistic photographs of Celine that no one could detect was fake, she created a huge scandal that knocked Celine’s whole life and career into the well.

Recalling this now… Erica’s mouth twisted up in a smile, the look in her dark as coal eyes sinister in a way that it would frighten whoever saw it, but she was all alone in the descending elevator as she thought back on to her master plan.

The scandal wasn’t the only thing she had designed for Celine, she had also especially sent a bunch of angry fans to her, fans that were ready to be violent and cruel, that should have served as a lesson for her to run away and never come back. When Erica received the information that Celine’s flight had just left the city, she had been elated and celebrated that whole night.

Another one down… Erica knew just how to take care of her enemies. She wasn’t ashamed of using a sneak attack of bringing down a woman who was unaware, it was her power that she could bring down someone she despised and that person’s loss, but then the dumb woman didn’t take that downfall as a hint, she returned now after five years have passed and even had the nerve to enter Grayson Corp.

That was something that crossed the line for Erica, that woman should never be anywhere near Tristan. She couldn’t allow her to get close to Tristan again.

Right now Erica didn’t know what happened to Celine’s pregnancy five years ago, but she would still find out, she hadn’t cared to find out at that time because she had gotten rid of Celine, the bitch had been quick in her decision to leave the country. Erica had thought she would have Tristan all to herself after that, she didn’t care if he acted disgusted or indifferent with her because she thought he would eventually be hers anyway.

Right now the only goal she had was big and it would be the one thing that would destroy that contract she signed with Tristan.

Once they got married, she had to get one night of lust with him, it didn’t matter if she had to use underhanded methods, anything that would get his seeds inside her, enough that it would lead to pregnancy and she would have her one great crystal ticket into his life forever, with that he wouldn’t be able to get rid of her anymore since she would be carrying the one true heir of the Blakewood family.

This woman’s sudden return now could ruin her chances, and Erica would never let that happen.

“Brace yourself Celine Roberts, you will not know what hit you.” Erica’s gaze was sharp and deadly.

The sun had long set that evening, Celine ignited her car and drove out of Grayson Corp’s underground parking lot.

What the hell had she been thinking?

Why the hell did she allow herself get lost in the moment? She had acted really stupid, and she had even allowed herself feel attracted to him again.

It was a good thing his fiancee walked in at the right moment before she would have stupidly let herself fall to his charms again.

His fiancee, Celine recalled, was a lovely woman, beautiful, she seemed smart too, of course he would want to be with a woman like that. For someone like him who wanted no commitments, a woman like Erica Williams was certainly enough for him to break his principles and even get engaged to her.

Did he love her that much? Celine wondered. He loved her enough to want to marry her.

Celine knew she had been nothing but a momentary fling, a one night stand, yet she had actually found herself hoping that night meant something to him.

She suddenly recalled the scene inside the office several hours ago, the moment he had almost kissed her.

She knew a man wouldn’t kiss a woman even by mistake if he didn’t desire her.
