Chapter 225: You Lost

Celine stared at Ryan who was now standing right in front of her as he asked her to make a choice, she turned her head to the left side to look at the image of her children for some time before looking back at Ryan.

“But even if the storms were to come, or the ends of the world itself, there will only be one man in my heart, and I’ll only ever choose him.” Hearing this Ryan who had a joyful look in his eyes and was moving his hand forward suddenly paused.

Celine looked up at him, the sadness in her eyes had vanished and all that was left was immense confidence, “You haven’t changed at all Ryan, you are still pathetically delusional, do you think I’ll just choose you just because of a few words? Celine was someone who had trained brutally to be able to protect herself and her kids, she wouldn’t easily be taken advantage of in her healthy state.

Ryan picked himself up with a strain, “You… You, how dare you do that to me?! Have you forgotten your little brats’ lives are in my hands? I can have them killed in a second with just the snap of my finger!” He bellowed.

“I dare you to try to hurt them and I swear I’ll make sure you don’t leave here intact.” Celine said steadily, her eyes showing unconcealable rage, there was no trace of fear of his threats.

“How dare you threaten me? Just wait, just wait and see what this little mistake of yours will cost you, I gave you a chance magnanimously, but you blew it, I’ll make sure to make you regret what you just did!”

Ryan might have been a man, but he was no match for Celine’s fighting skills, so he resorted to using the only thing he had against her at this moment, her children.

Ryan stood rooted to his spot, first his eyes shot up to look at Celine who had a confident smirk on her face, then he began to stutter as shock and realization dawned on him,

“Are you surprised? How dumb of you. Did you really think you could pull one over us?” Came Tristan’s voice from the phone.

Shocked and confused at how Tristan could have the phone he was using to communicate with his men, Ryan looked up at the screen that had been showing the live footage of Leo and Leah, earlier he hadn’t looked at it hard enough to have noticed, but now that he took some time to look at the screen, he realized something he’d missed, the live footage was stuck in the same place, Leo who seemed to be sitting and reading a book was in the same position he had been minutes ago, he didn’t even move from his position at all, while the little girl was also still laying in the same place, something wasn’t right.

This wasn’t the CCTV live footage of the room, it was a loop, someone had set it on a loop for about half an hour ago! Ryan realized to his horror.

As if to confirm his thoughts the footage shifted, it was still the same room, but the children were now nowhere to be found.

“I told you didn’t I? You can never get the best of him, because he’s a billion times better than the man you are.” Celine said, confident and proud as she watched Tristan come in.

Ryan felt a wave of hopelessness wash over him. Where was Erica? Did this mean their whole plan had failed?! Since he had fallen into their trap instead of them falling into his, he was sure Erica must also have fallen into their game as well.

“It’s over Ryan, my children are now safe in my custody, you lost, so give it up already.” Tristan said as he walked in.

“And do you think I’ll let you win just like that? If I’m going to lose, I’m going to make sure you lose the most important person to you as well Tristan!” He said with an evil smirk as he slowly pressed his hand on the trigger with the gun pointed straight at Celine’s head.
