Chapter 55: Can’t Forget

Tristan tossed his phone onto his bed once he entered his suite.

He angrily yanked his tie off tossing it to the floor as well as his coat. He swallowed a dry, angry lump down his throat and walked towards the terrace where a sprawling pool sat ending at the very edge of the terrace itself.

Flames suddenly flicked in the darkness lighting up the tip of the thin cigarette against his lips. With a puff he let out the smoke as it swirled into the air leaving his face shrouded in a dark, mysterious mist.

His eyes were focused far into the distance, where tiny stars twinkled barely visibly in the sky.

Once, there was a special night where he had laid with a woman and felt…alive.

He tried not to feel much but the pleasure the magnitude of his success could give, he hardly felt pleasure in most things.

He found his own pleasure in destruction, pain, and the sadistic urge to hurt and cause agony…but that night there wasn’t any pain, there wasn’t any darkness, there was only warmth and the sweetness of her plum like lips against his own.

Tristan shut his eyes taking another puff of his cigarette. He leaned back against the recliner by the pool, but not even the quiet flowing sound of water as the wind caused the water In the pool to swish back and forth brought him calm.

Neville woke up abuzz with an interesting news that left everybody in disbelief and shock. The entertainment industry was crazy while every news channel made it their priority to spread the news as bold headlines.

Some incredibly loyal fans were in denial, while the general public had nothing but criticism over the news, they couldn’t believe that the female star many people adored was actually a loose woman with no morals who would go sleeping around with countless men for roles in movies, and when she got pregnant she had even tried to abort the child to hide her own shameless deeds.

To people who never believed in her previous scandal found themselves completely convinced by this one.

A few pictures were inserted below this headline, the picture showed Celine lying on a luxurious looking bed in what seemed like a high class hotel cradled in the arms of a man whose face wasn’t visible in the pictures. As for Celine, anyone who knew her would recognize her at a single glance. And the fact that two people, a man and a woman seemed to be naked under the covers told anyone about what they might have done.

A mysterious person had suddenly tipped famous news agencies overnight and sent them these pictures informing them of the wayward lifestyle the movie industry’s darling, Celine Roberts had been living in secret.

These past few days, the public were beginning to forget about the scandal about her and Ian, her movies were being shown more often on screens making many remember the very reason they loved her.

There were several more pictures of her circulating, one of her with a movie director at a restaurant, another with her and a male actor she’d acted with once on a beach, this specific male actor was already married with kids. The picture didn’t explicitly show them doing anything immoral and seemed to be just conversing, however the angles were shot in a way that made it seem as if they were much closer than friends with the man’s hand placed firmly on the small of her back.

There were a few more pictures of Celine with random men taken from angles that would arouse suspicion.

Though those other photos didn’t depict anything out of the blue unlike the first one that showed her in bed with a man, but it had opened people’s imagination to lead people to think she was having illicit affairs with all those other men and there were people arguing and trying to find out exactly who the man with her in bed had been. Some swore it was the director, others argued it was the male actor.

But what set the balls of hatred rolling was when a hospital record was released. Celine’s name was clearly written on those records, and the appointment she had was a pregnancy termination.

The public went crazy with all these irrefutable evidence right before their eyes.

Her lower roles from the past were brought up, roles where she was barely shown on the screens then all of a sudden she got a lead role that led her to blow up and it had been her very first lead role.
