Chapter 232: Share Pizza

That evening, Natalia was in her apartment, she missed Celine so much but the couple were still on their honeymoon and hadn’t yet returned to the city. Since it was almost time for her favorite TV show to air, Natalia decided to cook something for dinner, but this time she would actually cook rather than make something quick.

Going into the kitchen, she pulled out some ingredients from the fridge along with some vegetables and began preparing her dish while blasting the music from the living room.

As she moved in the kitchen, she mumbled the tunes of the song, singing along while moving with the beats.

Due to the noise from the music, she was unable to hear as a knock sounded on her door. She continued to do what she was doing until it suddenly came to her attention that there was another sound other than from the music, as she listened intently, that was when she realized there was someone at the door.

She put down the vegetables she was about to wash by the sink, then went to answer the door after turning down the music.

“Yes?” She pulled open the door but went stiff a second later, seeing the person standing outside the door.

“Hey!” Christopher said, sizing her up.

Natalia’s face suddenly burned with embarrassment as she realized she must probably look like a mess at the moment. She had flour on her shirt and must have rubbed some on her cheeks when she was dancing to the music earlier.

“Uhm…Hey!” She quickly dusted her shirt, then looked at him questioningly as if to ask why he was here?

“Ah, the delivery guy got the wrong house, so I took it on your behalf and brought it over myself.” He said, extending a pizza box.

Natalia looked at the box of pizza weirdly, “But I didn’t order anything?” She quickly said.

“You didn’t? That’s strange, I didn’t order it either,” he said as if in thought.

“Could it be the other neighbors?” She asked.

“Nope, I doubt that. Well, since I took it, we might as well share it.” He said, walking past her and going into her house.

“Wh…” Natalia was about to speak but he had already walked in.

He strolled into her living room, then placed the pizza box down on the table before turning around to give her a smile.

Natalia, who was about to protest, stopped herself, realizing something, perhaps he wanted to just hang out with her and made up an excuse.

“What’s there to hide, just say you wanted to share a pizza.” She mumbled but he hadn’t heard her,

“Sorry?” He asked, not hearing what she had just said.

“I said I’m already cooking dinner.”

“Oh, is it? We’ll have pizza after then.” He said straightforwardly.

“We?” She asked, raising a brow but he only gave a smile.

With a sigh, Natalia decided to just forget about making dinner for tonight since she hadn’t really started cooking anyway.

She looked at him make himself comfortable on the couch before sighing in resignation.

“I’ll go get some drinks.” She muttered before walking into the kitchen.

She was feeling quite lonely and bored anyway, and this man, there was a mystery she wanted to uncover from him too.

Putting away all the vegetables she had brought out and been about to wash, she turned off the cooker and took away the pot she had yet to put any ingredients in, then stashed the flour she’d been about to use, before going to the sink to wash her hands.

However, turning on the water, nothing came, Natalia frowned.

“What’s wrong with the water?” She muttered to herself, once again turning the tap head a few times before the water finally came.

She sighed in relief and was washing her hands when all of a sudden, the tap head burst off and water began to spill all over her like falling rain.

“Aahhh!” She screamed loudly, trying to use her hand to stop the rushing water but by now she was already dripping wet, and the water dripped into her eyes, making her close them, unable to see where to stop the water from.

Her hands were still flailing as water poured over her when a strong hand suddenly pulled her aside,

“Don’t stay under the water, you’ll get wet!” His deep voice sounded close to her ears with a rebuking tone.

Natalia blinked the water out of her eyes and looked up at him, she was momentarily dazed by his appearance, the water was dripping from his dark hair, making it stick around his face, but that gave him a smooth and sensual appeal, droplets trickled down his perfect jawline, the sight was seductive and alluring that she couldn’t take her eyes off him until he moved her away from the sink.

She quickly broke out of her daze and woke herself up.

Christopher bent down and reached under the sink, the water soon stopped as if it hadn’t been pouring over them like a heavy downpour a second ago. It was all silent except for the sounds of dripping water that lingered.

“Don’t try to fix it yourself, you better call the handyman.” Christopher instructed as he stood up, but as his gaze fell on her, he went stiff, his gaze clouding with an unknown emotion, unable to stop them, his eyes roamed down her enticing figure before he quickly forced himself to look away.

She was dripping wet and all her clothes clung tightly to her body, vividly showing the shapes and curves of her body underneath. The water that dripped down her long neck went straight into her top.

Natalia noticed his strange behavior and frowned before realizing something, looking down at herself, she was shocked and quickly covered her body with her arms,

And turned around, hurrying out of the kitchen, making sure to mind all the water so as not to slip and further embarrass herself.

Christopher closed his eyes and exhaled loudly, a familiar heat already building up in him, he quickly cleared the thoughts out of his mind as it had started to wander back to that evening eight years ago.

At that time, they had both been young, but whatever had happened between them had been no mistake, at least he hoped it wasn’t because of how she currently seemed to not remember anything about it.

He was about to turn around when Natalia suddenly appeared in front of him, holding a towel towards him, she was now all covered as she had wrapped herself up in a robe. However, her cheeks were incredibly flushed, she was probably embarrassed that he had seen her like that.

“Here, or you’ll catch a cold.” She said.

Christopher took the towel from her and immediately he did, she hurried away without a moment’s hesitation.

He wiped his hair, watching her back as she seemed to be running away with a smile on his face, his dark eyes gleaming with amusement.

Why was she so embarrassed? He wondered. What would her reaction be if he told her he’d already seen everything she was feeling so embarrassed about, she’d probably turn red from head to toe.

Christopher dried his hair and walked out of the kitchen. He left her apartment, heading back to his own to change before quickly coming back to hers and sat waiting for her on the couch.

Natalia, fully changed but her hair still dripping slightly, walked down the stairs, she was momentarily shocked to still find him there.

“You…” She began but didn’t know what to say.

Was he so eager to share a box of pizza with her that he quickly went off to change only to come back?
