Chapter 49: He Deserves To Know

Celine nodded slowly and Natalia seemed to have fallen into a trance as she stared into space ahead silently with her mouth agape.

“Nat… Natalia!” Celine waved her hands in front of Natalia’s dazed eyes, but the next second the latter suddenly let out a loud squeal which sounded like the sharp sqeak of a trapped rabbit, the only difference was, Natalia kicked her feet in excitement.

Celine was startled at first, the sudden squeal had caught her off guard. When Natalia’s excitement didn’t seem to have an end, Celine couldn’t help but start feeling regret.

Could Natalia have gone muddleheaded because of her revelation? She probably shouldn’t have told her.

“You slept with Tristan Grayson??!” Natalia suddenly seemed to come back to her senses, asking again as if wanting to confirm.

Celine averted her gaze, for some reason the mention of Tristan’s name was bringing back memories. Images and sounds from that night.

Great, this half crazy, half sane Natalia was making her remember things she wanted to forget.

Natalia didn’t even wait for Celine’s reply, the pink color that rushed up Celine’s face at the mention of the man’s name was confirmation enough.

“Aaaahhhh!” Natalia screamed like a crazy fan girl, “You nasty little rascal, you gave your virginity to Tristan Grayson! And here I was worried that you’re having a baby with some random guy, you’re such a rebel. I should have believed it when people said the purest saints could become the most rebellious little devils. You left a disgusting piece of shit only to go sleep with the biggest businessman all over the country, if Ian heard that, he would literally die of shame!” Natalia couldn’t stop talking about it.

Celine could only sigh to herself but was unable to say a word, not that Natalia let her get a word in.

In the end she had no choice but to quietly watch her best friend literally go crazy in front of her, but she couldn’t blame the woman, she’d gotten the shock of her life when she realized the man she’d slept with was Tristan Grayson.

“So what are you guys going to do now, live-in together to take care of the baby or…has a relationship built from that? Wait…will you marry him?” Natalia had finally calmed down and asked but blew up in excitement again.

“Oh my God! You might have a family with the most feared and respected man in Neville, you’re literally a queen now!”

“I’m not marrying him, Nat.” Celine hadn’t even thought of being in a committed relationship with Tristan not to mention marrying him. After finding out who he was, she knew she had just probably been a plaything for him and he most likely wouldn’t see her in any importance, she couldn’t even imagine him acknowledging the child not to mention marrying him.

“Okay… I guess marriage wouldn’t be the top priority for you two right now, you’d need time to grow your relationship and…”

“No, there’s no relationship between us.” Celine interrupted making Natalia’s over excited expression to suddenly change.

“Wait, what?” Natalia seemed to suddenly have been slapped in the face by what Celine just said, she immediately turned a serious expression when she caught the flash of pain in Celine’s blue eyes.

“He doesn’t know about…the pregnancy.” Celine admitted.

“Then tell him, I mean he should take equal responsibility as much as you would. Don’t forget, one night stand or not, the man and woman should be equally responsible for any consequences.” Natalia held Celine’s hand upon seeing the troubled look in her eyes.

Celine couldn’t sit still, she got up finding herself pacing.

“We agreed never to meet again.”

“Okay, but things have changed. You’re literally carrying his child.”

“You don’t understand, Natalia. It was just a one night stand and he told me he didn’t want any commitments and I agreed to it, we aren’t supposed to see each other again after that, so how am I going to suddenly show up in his life with a baby he never planned for?”

Natalia got up and pressed Celine’s shoulders to make her sit. “Alright, I guess snagging a billionaire isn’t that easy after all.” She joked to clear the air a bit before adding,

“Look, whatever agreements you might have had, you got pregnant. Sure, neither of you expected that but maybe this is destiny or something, but you need to at least tell him about the child. You weren’t planning to raise a child on your own were you? He’s the father, and whatever he might end up thinking, he deserves to know about it. If he refuses to acknowledge it then…”

Celine glanced up at her with a raised brow, “Then what?”

“Then he’ll have to face my wrath. Does he dare get my little darling pregnant and refuse to take responsibility? Besides, it’s his fault for not using protection.”

“Actually…he sent me a package of contraceptives the next morning.”

“Doesn’t matter, it’s not your fault your body was in it’s extremely fertile period and you happened to get pregnant. By the way, how many times did you do it? I’ve seen his pictures online recently, he’s so hot! Tell me how it felt, I’m so curious to know what it would feel like to sleep with Tristan Grayson. Ugh, you’re so lucky, I would kill to have a one night stand with Tristan Grayson.”

Celine gave her a judgemental side glance, “You really will never stop being such a pervert.”

“What’s wrong with that? He’s rich and handsome, I’m sure every girl in Neville wants to know what it’s like to be in his bed.”

When Natalia noticed Celine’s expression looked somewhat troubled, she patted her shoulder reassuringly and said,

“Don’t worry and don’t think too much about it, just let him know about the baby and whatever happens after that, we’ll figure it out okay?”

Though Natalia was a little crazy and a little dirty minded, Celine knew she had good intentions. It felt somewhat relieving to share the issue with someone. She had kept it all to herself and it had felt extremely suffocating, right now it felt like she could breathe.

“Thanks, Nat.”

Natalia gave her a sweet smile before beginning another session of rambling and questioning her about how it all happened.

She truly was relentless in wanting to hear the nitty gritty details.

One would think she would grab popcorns and drool over the imaginations of every description of the scene fed to her.

At the end of the day, Celine really had no choice but to fish up every single scenario for the eager woman who devoured it all enthusiastically.
