Chapter 177: No Choice But To Submit

The room was a posh design with a subtle red and white theme, it looked like a perfect romantic setting.

Celine felt her heart skip a beat as her sight fell on a bouquet of red roses kept on the table in the middle of the room.

She walked over to the table and picked up the bouquet lightly sniffing it with a smile on her face.

Had Tristan really prepared all this for her? She wondered, her smile growing bigger.

She checked if the rose held a note but couldn’t find one, then thought that since he had her called here, he must have certainly prepared all this. But the fact that he’d actually put in this much effort made her feel warm up inside.

Her eyes roamed all over the room after dropping the roses, on the far end was a separation that led to the inner chamber of the room, walking over, she was met with a well decorated bedroom, the bed surrounded by sheer curtains with the same red and white color theme.

Celine casually strolled into the room, then back to the outer chamber, she was quite surprised with all the arrangements she was met with.

A small joyful smile raised her lips. She had asked him out for dinner, but then she never expected that he would prepare something like this for her.

Regardless of the inexplicable joy and hope slowly surfacing in her heart, something suddenly felt fishy.

She stepped onto the balcony, feeling the fresh ocean air with its salty scent wash over her. She was certain Tristan had set this up, but a nagging feeling told her something was off – something just didn’t smell right.

Lost in thought, she was startled by a knock at the door. Her heart skipped a beat as she turned to face it. After a brief hesitation, she walked over and opened the door.

“Hello ma’am, Mr Grayson asked me to deliver this.” A waiter was standing outside the door, holding an expensive looking wine bottle, he gave Celine a polite smile.

“Ah, thank you.” Celine quickly made way for him to bring in the wine while breaking out of her daze since she had thought it would be Tristan by the door.

The waiter poured the wine in two glasses then gave a polite bow before leaving.

Since a waiter had been asked to bring in wine, maybe Tristan was on his way here, Celine thought.

She nervously headed over to take her seat while her eyes fell on the roses again, she smiled,

“This is so romantic, too romantic.” Celine murmured playing with the rose petals with her fingers.

She wondered if Tristan had done all of this deliberately or if he had no idea that such a setting was considered romantic, though with his cold exterior, she couldn’t consider him a romantic person at all.

She also wondered what he meant by preparing all these things, she obviously did know what it meant, but she wondered if it was actually so. All these things pointed to nothing else but a confession of love, though she did know that Tristan cared about her, she didn’t think he would confess to her so soon, at least not so easily, which further added to the feeling that something was wrong somehow, but Celine thought that she would wait and see.

However Celine’s eyes once again surveyed the beautiful and romantic atmosphere.

“But… What if, he did prepare all this, and plans to…” Her eyes wandered over to the internal chamber, with the bed decorated so beautifully, Celine swallowed dryly.

Her throat felt parched, and without thinking, she instinctively reached for the wine glass in front of her, gulping down the entire contents in one swift motion.

It was after she’d swallowed did she realize that she had actually finished a glass of wine, she quickly dropped the glass while licking her lips.

She calmed herself warding off all the distracting thoughts from her mind, then sat straight to wait for him to arrive.

After a while, she heard footsteps approaching, and her gaze flicked nervously to the door. Suddenly, her head started spinning, and she furrowed her brows, feeling a strange, unsettling sensation wash over her.

In that moment, a wave of heat washed over her, her heart racing and breathing becoming labored – it all hit her like a ton of bricks.

“What… What is happening to me?!”

Her gaze snapped to the wine glass, suspicion flooding into her head, she was dead certain Tristan hadn’t set this up by now. Just as she thought it, the door swung open.

Her now blurry gaze travelled from a glistening pair of shoes up to a familiar face, but definitely not someone she had expected to see.

Celine gritted her teeth as rage filled her in that moment.

“I should have known.” She muttered while trying to steady her erratic breathing as she glared at Ryan who strode in with his hands in his pockets, his guard was completely let down as a smirk sat on his lips, he carried over an air of triumph as if he’d already achieved his goal or was about to completely achieve it.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, I told you didn’t I? You would be mine soon…” Ryan uttered while taking deliberately drawled steps towards her on the table, getting to her side he leaned over then added, “Way much sooner than you thought.”

Anger surged through her, and Celine tried to lunge at him, but her legs buckled, and she collapsed back into the seat. The heat she’d felt earlier intensified, like a fire raging in her stomach, doubled in strength.

Ryan took a step back in order to avoid her hand as she had moved to grab him earlier, but there wasn’t a trace of panic in his eyes, as he still maintained his laid back aura.

He chuckled deviously, “Oh don’t move honey, otherwise you won’t be able to hold on for much longer, you’ll be throwing yourself at me begging me to take you.” His voice holding glee and triumphant thrill.

Celine didn’t need to ask what he had done to her, he had drugged the wine, she should have known better, but she had let her guard down since she thought it was Tristan who prepared all of it, little did she know, that she would have found herself fallen Into the trap of this obsessive jerk.

Ryan continued, “I have been waiting for this day since the first time I set my eyes on you… And tonight, you’ll be mine.” He laughed,

“But of course this chance will come with a double benefit, not only will I have you, but it will give me a chance to disappoint and break my dear cousin’s heart.” He strolled towards the balcony while saying, “And I’ve got everything arranged for that, come morning, Tristan will be coming over to this room to find you and I nestled in each other’s arms after a very passionate night, ha, can’t wait to see the look on his face, it will be priceless.”

Celine’s eyes widened in horror, and she tried to scramble up again, but ended up crashing to the floor. The heat seared her skin with every movement, but she bit down on her tongue, fighting to stay lucid as she glared at Ryan.

With a deviously frightening smirk on his face, he turned and began approaching her.

Celine tried to move backwards and put more distance between them, she crawled back unable to get up on her feet while trying to catch her breath, but since she was already weakened, her movements were extremely slow, before she knew it, she felt his arms come around her waist.

“Don’t fight it, you have no choice but to submit now.”

“Ah!”
