Chapter 178: Succeeded With His Lustful Intentions

Pain! All she could feel was a splitting pain in her head.

She sucked in a sharp painful breath as she tried to move while slowly opening her eyes.

Her view was blurry at first, but her sight later focused on a high ceiling. With the softness under her back and the warmth from her body being covered under a sheet she could tell she was lying on a bed right now.

Her brows came together in a frown, her memory still feeling foggy, she didn’t realize where she was or why she was there at the moment, but she slowly turned her head to the side to find herself in a beautifully decorated room, light red and white sheer curtains fluttering around the bed.

Her frown deepened, “Where am I?”

It felt as if her memory of how she got to this particular room had been restricted as she couldn’t recall what she was doing here.

Just as she tried to get up and survey the room her movements suddenly paused, her expression showing dreadful shock. She slowly looked down at herself to see her own bare shoulders while the rest of her body was concealed under the sheets. Her heart stopped beating for a second.

With a trembling hand, she slowly pulled back the sheets, only to let them fall at once upon seeing her naked body beneath. Her breathing grew heavy.

“What… How did I…!!!”

Celine’s mind was plunged into confusion. Just waking up in a strange room to find herself naked under the sheets, looking around the atmosphere of the room she could already tell what might have happened.

Her gaze met with the familiar pair of hazel eyes standing at the entrance, which made her heart skip a beat before beginning to thump in her chest.

’Tristan?’ She’d wanted to say his name out loud, but the words were stuck in her throat as Ryan’s words rang in her ears once more.

’…But of course this chance will come with a double benefit, not only will I have you, but it will give me a chance to disappoint and break my dear cousin’s heart.’

’And I’ve got everything arranged for that, come morning, Tristan will be coming over to this room to find you and I nestled in each other’s arms after a very passionate night, ha, can’t wait to see the look on his face, it will be priceless.’

Her tearful gaze stuck to Tristan’s, but those tears didn’t fall, how could they, all she could feel right now was fear and anxiety. Ryan had succeeded in his evil plans.

Seeing Tristan made the pain in heart increase a double fold. Now the man she loved would misunderstand her and think she slept with someone else. The tears spilled from her eyes, yet she couldn’t muster a single word in her own defense. What could she possibly say to him, knowing Ryan would have arranged everything to make Tristan believe they had slept together?

As usual Tristan was expressionless, she couldn’t see a reaction on his face. But he slowly began to approach her, her throat tightened in pain expecting to hear him tell her how disgusted he was with her.

She lowered her head while tears fell down on the sheets, she could feel him coming closer but she couldn’t bear to look up at him, she didn’t want to see disappointment or disgust in his eyes if he realized what had happened.

The sound of footsteps stopped and she could feel him standing over her, but she still didn’t raise her head to look at him, while painful sobs were threatening to rise up her throat but she surpressed them waiting to hear him say something but he quietly just stood there.

Her heart was in so much pain at the moment, not only had she been sexually assaulted, but she’d be misunderstood by the man she loved.

However, she suddenly swung her head up to look at him as the bed dipped by her side, gazing up she could only see calm in his eyes, he finally spoke up,

“Are you alright, do you still feel pain?” He asked softly.

Her brows furrowed subtly, she didn’t know why he was asking her this so softly, or why she could now see evident concern in his eyes.

Seeing her somewhat dazed and confused look he gently touched her cheek wiping the tears that slid down her face,

“Talk to me Celine, are you alright?” His voice was gentle, soft and coaxing, as if he was reassuring her while still holding evident concern for her.

She could no longer hold on as her sobs escaped her lips, she covered her face with her palms and sobbed.

She didn’t know why Tristan was being nice to her even with all this misunderstanding, but his concern further broke her heart, she couldn’t stop herself from crying.

He sat silently in front of her for some time before slowly lowering her hands away from her face, she still had her head lowered while the sobs choked her throat.

“What’s wrong?” Tristan cupped her cheeks asking softly, “Are you still in pain?” His eyes searched her face worriedly, “Talk to me.” He urged.

She shook her head while still crying.

He wiped every tear that fell down her cheeks while raising her face so she could look at him wondering why she was crying.

“Tell me what’s wrong.” He urged her again.

“I… I didn’t… I… Ryan… Ryan he…” She wanted to explain to him, she wanted to tell him everything that really happened, but her voice was still choked with sobs.

“Shh, don’t worry, he’ll never dare to come close to you again from now on.”

Hearing his words she looked up at him in slight bewilderment, “What… What do you mean?”

“It means that if he ever even thinks of looking at you again, then I’ll forget the fact that he’s related to me, I don’t know what I might do to him!” His voice sounded softer, but there was an angry rigidity in his tone, and she could see the flash of rage that shone in his hazel eyes, which he immediately tried to conceal and said,

“You’re okay now, I’m here, I should have arrived even sooner last night, I’m sorry it took some time before I could find you. I swear if he had laid his hands on you then…” She could see him angrily clench his jaw while refraining from completing his words.

Celine suddenly realized something and quickly asked, “Last night you… You came here?”
